Ultimately, I will always love carrying the any of the DSi's, DS', and the 2Ds' over the switch. I'm way more confident carrying them around, the switch feels way too vulnerable, it's just so worrying, whereas the 2Ds has a bit more protection overall.

A couple DAYS after I got my 2DS XL Pikachu edition I dropped it and cracked the hinge, I was so upset, but thankfully it's only cosmetic damage I'm such an idiot

About a year after getting my dsi for Christmas I dropped it on new years day first thing in the morning the hinge broke pretty bad and its never been the same since that time, it can't hold the screen up anymore with the hinge so that's annoying and it just looks bad. I got a new one to replace it though

In the past I’ve had the ds lite, dsi xl, 3ds & the first original 3ds xl which I absolutely loved but ended up putting my money more into Photography & Apple products lol I have just taken the plunge and purchased the 2ds xl and I am loving it! It has taken me back to playing my 3ds and all of the great games and I don’t miss the 3d one bit 😄

Zechariah Barrett yep. ive dropped mine before and it still intact. Too bad it has become worn out from overuse. I've had it since 2013 just for Pokemon, but also discovered a lot of games. On that soan of 4 and a half years I managed to: replace its wifi card because somehow it got broken, and rellace the battery due to overuse. I might buy an N2dsXL , but I think it won't be necessary right now since I'm quite busy with college and stuff.

I learned that the switch belongs at home and should only occasionally be taken out of the dock. I took mine anywhere I went and its been scratched. The 2ds goes wherever you go. If you want,plug a 2ds into an adaptor. Have fun playing

I am just not interested in this model, though that teal looks very pretty. I have a New 3DS that happens to have both top AND bottom IPS screens. The customizable CPs are also awesome. Personally, I don't see any need for a 2DS because the 3D effect, which I enjoy, can always be turned off. I think I am in the minority when I say I actually like -- and frequently use -- the 3D effect.
