You can still make levels, share them to an extent, and play 100 Mario challenge. Chances are the levels you upload won't be played by more than 30 people and 25 of those will quit after dying once.

For anyone who thinking Mario Maker 3DS made the Wii U version pointless, Think it again. Because..... - You can only share your course made in 3DS version via Local Wireless or StreetPass. Also you can only play online courses from 100 Mario Challenges or Recommend Course section. - No Mystery Mushroom item in this version. In other word, No amiibo support. (that made some courses made on Wii U version unplayable in 3DS version, Not 100% sure on this though. I'm judging from the fact that not every Wii U course is playable in the 3DS.) Just saying. And I think that's smart idea so the owner of Wii U version didn't feel so bad. At least they brought a superior version of the game. Yoshi's Woolly World on the other hand, I don't sure on that one though.

Buy Monster Hunter or pkmn, those are the best option right now. Tri-force heroes its actually a good option too and ssb 4 i nice if you have decent internet conection

+octo draws I've always got stuck in monster hunter with some of the missions that have confusing objectives thats why I've always been scared to go back since The wii. on a side note haven't played a recent pkmm yet is it good? Also I have ssb and its very good so is mario kart online and super street fighter. but Nintendo needs to add worldwide support on all local play games. I'm from a smaller town in the country nobody around me really plays 3ds so i have to stick to internet WiFi only and yea I have pretty good WiFi no lag.

I prefer the Vita because it can play higher powered games and doesn't push amiibo down my throat. And PS4 vs. Wii U at this point is like Hercules vs. A random goat on a farm. I was with Nintendo for every generation, but they're gonna have to do pretty well with NX to get me back.

This direct fascinates me. Released when the Wii U wasn’t even 4 years old yet was treated as dead, focusing in a console that was a year and half older and near the end its life, half a year before their new console released. Plus it’s structured different from any other direct with treehouse members being involved for the first time.

+Mikeman715mc Let me explain to you why SMM 3DS sucks. (I'm an owner of a New 3DS and Wii U.) 1. You can't share courses ONLINE which was a highlight of the Wii U version. (Yes I'm aware of the recommended levels, but it's not the same...) 2. It doesn't use the Mystery Mushrooms. Which pretty much means don't bother buying Amiibo for SMM 3DS... Also, the Mystery Mushrooms were AWESOME on the Wii U version. Which is basically a disgrace since they removed that option completely. This is what Nintendo SHOULD'VE done. 1. Make it exclusive ONLY for the New 3DS. That way they could put in Amiibo Support/Mystery Mushrooms. 2. Made it so you COULD upload courses you made online. Instead of only sharing with your friends/family, and randomly receiving courses people made via Streetpass. Remember all of this is my opinion, so don't hate. One more thing; I'm just glad the 3DS is getting some attention after all these years. ANOTHER thing; Pokémon Sun & Moon hype!

Pretty solid direct, super happy to see Mario Maker on 3DS, even with its "stripped" presentation. The Poochy + Yoshi's Wooly World announcement was my favorite by far: those shorts look so unbelievably adorable and the port seems that it will be a wonderful addition to the handheld's library. Funny how my two most anticipated games from this direct are already Wii U titles- one I already own- though I can't help it because they're both so appealing as portable titles. I personally have no connection to Pikmin, so I couldn't have been disappointed from that reveal.
