I show you how to remove the yellowing from vintage plastics with the Retrobright method.
This console was bought from eBay in working condition but is not working.
The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES),[b] commonly shortened to Super NES or Super Nintendo,[c] is a 16-bit home video game console developed by Nintendo that was released in 1990 in Japan and South Korea,[16] 1991 in North America, 1992 in Europe and Oceania, and 1993 in South America. In Japan, the system is called the Super Famicom (SFC).[d] In South Korea, it is known as the Super Comboy[e] and was distributed by Hyundai Electronics.[17] The system was released in Brazil on August 30, 1993,[16][18] by Playtronic. Although each version is essentially the same, several forms of regional lockout prevent the different cartridges from being compatible with one another.

I've never seen a PAL SNES that didn't have the "PAL Version" lettering on the cartridge slot door, nor one with an RF jack that also had a channel switch. Very interesting.

Man I love seeing the plastics go from yellow AF to like new. It's mind blowing, and might I add quite satisfying. Also restorations channels like these more than likely help greatly reduce e-waste, because more stuff getting restored and repaired means less stuff getting thrown out.

Ну для очистки плат можно спирт использовать.Я для подобных целей использую спрей для очистки карбюраторов.Плата была рабочей,индикатор питания светил.Видимо контакты разъёма были окислены.

Top half of the shell has definitely been replaced but it's a restoration. When you restore a car, you don't always repair parts and fit. You replace where and when needed.

I think I would had gone a different route cleaning this SNES. I guess I have OCD when it comes to cleaning and refurbishing console's. I've recently just purchased a Nintendo 3ds XL and I'm about to completely overhaul it to perfection. The screens will be replaced with a higher resolution and speaker's will sound like a movie theater. My psp will be after this.

How on earth do these things get so nasty inside? I've cleaned two that were just as dirty, even though most openings are covered. Btw, the cartridge slot can be removed to properly clean or replace it if needed. The contacts underneath are usually in dire need of a good cleaning as well.

Huh, apparently this was the European Model of the Super Nintendo, which is nearly identical to the Japanese Super Famicom, but with the Super Nintendo branding instead. Did not know that until today. Interesting. Man, that has a way cooler design that the NTSC version...

how to create a restoration video? you buy the equipment in excellent condition, bathe it in mud and at the end show a video fragment of the condition immediately after purchase. If this console in the video was really dirty, then there would be dirt between the grilles of the case, the lower part also differs in shade from the upper part. The author simply buys historically important items and treats them like garbage.
