Super Mario RPG Amiibos sound pretty likely. I’m not sure why no one is mentioning that. A neat pie-in-the-sky idea would be other Amiibo support for Super Mario RPG that grants extra characters, probably in the form of temporary characters until the Amiibo is used, again, and/or grants additional bosses, costumes, and/or NPCs.

One thing that no one has mentioned since the last Direct is that we have Mansion 3, and we’re getting 2 next year, but no 1 on Switch. That’s why I think the shadow drop tomorrow will be Mansion 1. Good Halloween title, more hype for other Mario games, and all three will be available on Switch.

This is unlucky, but just how the mk8d characters are aligned in a rows I think that the last two characters would either be either boom boom/pom pom because all the characters in that row are koopalings and another mii character variant similar to mii outfit B in mario kart wii for the last character. I just don't see a character special enough to be placed after the current mii icon lol. And as much as I want funky kong a lot more I think realistically Nintendo would favor Pauline.

I'm wondering since Pyoro didn't leak hint at a new Ice Climber game that it won't be in tomorrow's Direct, although Nintendo has pretty much been leaking left and right a new Ice Climber game in 2018 (Ice Climbers twice in Games and More and Vault, by themselves or near Kirby characters HAL Laboratory and/or Sakurai), 2019 (two Condors in Kings and Queens of the Sky) and 2021 (Ice Climbers near Peach and Daisy three times).

I think there will be some release dates or release windows for some games already announced, a warioware trailer , they’ll show a little bit of the last Mario kart dlc. Biggest thing will be that they’ll continue the pattern l of another GameCube game stealth drop. I’m hoping either prime 2 or fzero gx, but being Halloween season maybe the original Luigi’s mansion.

Super Princess Peach was fine IMO. Not a masterpiece or anything, but it was a fun little platformer for what it was and I hardly think it deserves to be called a terrible game. That aside, interesting discussion, and nice to sort of keep in mind to temper expectations. Personally I'd still be pretty excited for some of the leaked things even if they aren't what most people (myself included) would want most from those franchises being mentioned, so hopefully it'll be a good Direct for me.

So something I want to see and I think could be shown off is Professor Layton and the World of Steam, been a while since we saw that. Here’s something else, remember the Noah and Mio amiibo were shown to be coming out, I think later this year. However all content for Xenoblade 3 is done, how do you work that in? Weird to do a random 1 off “Oh, btw, these amiibo are coming out but not related to anything we’re talking about.” So maybe they’re new fighters added to Smash since amiibo are used mostly for Smash (let’s be honest) or a Xeno type announcement; either X or Saga (there was that rumor of Bandai Namco working on something with Nintendo a while back)

At this point, I honestly don’t see GameCube NSO due to the fact that the Switch 2 is due out by the end of next year (supposedly) and the fact that 4 GCN games were already ported into the Switch. Super Mario Sunshine in Super Mario 3D All Stars and Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2 as Pikmin 1+2. Also Metroid Prime Remastered. Did I miss others? Yeah I had hopes for it at first but at this point, I’m not counting on it anymore.

maybe big brain prediction: MK Tour recently notified new content will not be developed after the next 2 or 3 tours New F Zero game, they want to test the waters, would not go all out with a main series title Would make perfect sense for the MKT team to have moved on to another project, and what better project then another racing game Nintendo can test the waters of f zero popularity, while making bank on the gacha mechanics which they oh so love in their mobile games Hopefully something like this is what they'll reveal and I'm praying it generates enough interest to reboot the franchise come the switch pro, lemme know what y'all think

Another Code is actually really good. both on ds and on wii. I just would wonder how they would port it to switch since it uses all the features of the DS and Wii quite a lot. I also don't think we are going to see MP 4 since the poyro guy (or however he is called) would have leaked it...

I think the longing for F-Zero is warranted however I don't think we'll see a new game, though I hope I'm wrong. But Racing games in general outside of the more major franchises like Mario Kart, Gran Turismo or Forza just aren't popular. The other exception is maybe the more indie focused/AA side of things where they become highly specific niche products like deep racing simulation games. That's why the F-zero 99 idea is the most likely thing, much lower effort and they can roll it in with their online package
