On a CRT with S video the scanlines aren't all that obvious, N64 on the other hand has thick scanlines.

The Gamecube does 480i for most games on a CRT which removes the scanlines.

Hi there, great video and explanation about the product. Do you have any idea if the kaico adapter already came with the 3.0e version or still is selling fue 2.4d. Also, if you know if the Amazon retailer already updated their stock, would be nice. Thank in advance :)

A quick check on the links provided in the video description, should help explain any questions you have such as Kaico's official website. Last we heard the GC HDMI adaptor had been updated to the newer 3.0 firmware. The official website currently list GCVideo 3.0D as the included version.

Hello ! Very good video! I have just bought this adaptator but i am VERY disapointed... Indeed, i can notice HUGE input lagg when i use it ! No words from anybody about it ! Any advices ? Thanks !

We didn't noticed any major input lag ourselves, however different TV's can have different input lags for games. Does your TV have the option for a game mode? If so set your TV to that if it has that option and also if it's on try turning it off as well. As some consoles don't like the mode on for TV, but do check it isn't your TV that is the problem. Our Steel Empire longplay used it and we didn't noticed any major lags, that's not to say there may have been some lag: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mH_aYYeij8x9npY

Hello, just make sure the gaming mode of your TV is set up. Anything else can produce a lot of input lag (sport, movie mode, etc.). I tested today my new Kaico device and everything is just fine with the game mode.

Does this also work when playing GBA games through the Gameboy player?

Please watch from 36:44 "Gameboy Advance Player support and GB Interface" section in the video. This should answer any questions you have about the GBA player and the HDMI device working together. If you want to use the GBI software you will need a Action Replay and homebrew SWISS software.
