Can we please give props to Nintendo for finally doing something good after two years? They finally did a pro-consumer practice, adding a multiplayer mode to something we've been begging for, for so long, and for free! Edit: It still should have been added at launch, though. The Rosalina theory is one of 2 scenarios. The first is that she is the ancestor of the Mushroom Royal family (aka Peach) who left the planet centuries ago with a baby Luma. She had a younger brother so it’s thought that he carried on the royal line. The 2nd theory is that she is Peach’s daughter from the future who can travel through time but I honestly think the 1st theory is more plausible. The original plan was for Rosalina to be confirmed to be related to Peach, but that fell through. Also the Star Festival is held every 100 years to honor the comet (aka the Observatory) so it’s an old tradition perhaps started by the younger brother to honor his sister’s return.

So there's the idea that at some point there was person who was like peach who was with someone who was like luigi. It’s just become easier. Them again, there could have been some custom networking stuff done if it allows local wifi play.
