Not too sure where your getting your info from Pat, but Red One has 90% on Rotten Tomatoes, and after reading a lot of reviews for it, they are mostly positive and people say they loved the movie, I have not seen it yet, but the preview didn't look terrible? Now if you just do not like the Rock and or the premise of the movie, I can see your criticism. I'm gonna watch it eventually, not rushing to theaters to see it or anything. Btw I love your podcast and been watching you for years, just giving some feedback.

Yes. Klaus was a fantastic movie and is an example of how movies made for kids don't have to be idiotic, like most kids movies coming out. They can be good and enjoyable for adults too.

This announcement absolutely makes me more wary to buy digital games or really any modern game. I’m collecting heavily for the PS3 right now because aside from a few patches and updates 90% of the library is completed on the disk. I have been buying large amounts of digital games on Steam during sales are going to websites like humble bundle or fanatical and buying bunches of 10 or 15 games at a time and that’s absolutely going to slow to a trickle now because although I may have those games potentially for a long time, there is no point in building up a collection of hundreds of games that I’m not going to play if I’m someday going to start losing them my days of buying 15 or 20 games at a time are behind me at least for anything digital steam is going to lose a lot of revenue from Meand so are other digital storefronts like the switch E shop

I saw Red One. As far as family Xmas action adventure movies go, I thought it was pretty good. Decent pacing. Interesting character designs. You could do much worse. It’s a little cliche to criticize the Rock in these movies. You know exactly what you’re getting. It’s much better than the 30% on RT. Closer to the 90% audience reaction.

I have one problem with the take you guys have on new wording to more clearly denote that you're buying a license, and that is, aren't the game studios already making the whole effort pointless because the physical releases largely don't have the full game on them? Yes, I could own the game disc and box, but I still don't own the game. I own an installer file with servers that can (and will) disappear just as much as the digital storefronts that my digital purchases live on. TL;DR We're still all fucked because rich greedy people value that over a better world to live in

Trying to start a DC universe anywhere other than with Superman is a recipe for disaster. Doing a great Superman movie is still possible, but the focus needs to be story FIRST

PS5 pro.price getting alot of heat..if you wanted to get a PC with as good specs, controllers, OS , ports, all things this had plus nice design (subjective) , what's it gonna cost and how much work is involved vs this box of goodies? Genuinely curious as I'm a rookie .

~1k. But, you will get more and cheaper games, the OS is like 20 bucks, no need to pay extra to play online and it'll look better then the PS5 Pro. Also, there are not so many exclusive games to the PS5 and you can do much more with a PC, while Sonys box is a closed system. If convience is your thing AND you don't have a PS5, the Pro is an ok choice, but not a good one.

Yeah it seems like quite a nice package for the price. I am happy with my switch , as I'm not a resolution or fps nut, but I'd happily choose this if I wanted to get a kind of convenient plug and play PC ish system that also gets me into the PS ecosystem.

@@lothar71 Hard to recommend? I play most of my PC games on a couch with a controller. It's way more flexible then Sonys closed box. Also, there are hardly exclusive games on the PS5.

Cute to see people using game preservation as a code word for piracy. "Forces researchers to explore extra legal methods..." and THAT right there is why is just a code for piracy. People argue that if the game is not available for me to buy then I will just get it elsewhere. I ALWAYS ask this question and i never get a reply. "Well if they are not willing to sell it to you, then why not just be ok not having it?" It's private property, if somebody won't sell it to you or make it accessible to you, then you take the L and move on. If somebody owns the rights to something they have the right to sell it, give it away or sit on it and selfishly hoard it. All are acceptable options. THEY own the games, it doesn't just become public domain (whether you think it should be or not is irrelevant) they want to sit on it and do nothing with it.

The movie went severely over budget because the rock would routinely show up many, many hours late to set and held things up for the entire cast and crew. This movie never would’ve been good but he really screwed over that production.
