I've wanted to see these games completely remade in 3D. The style and settings would look great and I'd love to be able to explore it in the 3D format. Same goes for Minish Cap. Shrinking down and seeing places from a smaller perspective would look so cool.

I also want to see them remade. These two games were part of my inspirations for getting into game development; I ended up self teaching myself programming when I was 10, because these games, Link's Awakening and Pokemon Crystal were such great, content-rich and insanely fun experiences that I wanted to make something like that myself. I will say, I think they shouldn't use the same exact graphical style as LA's remake for this. I get the toy diorama aesthetic was still basically the old sprites redone in a 3D space, but, I think the tone of the Oracles, especially Ages, is much darker, and would benefit from a slightly more mature art style. Like the one in A Link Between Worlds I'd say; it's still chibi, but the characters are less stocky and leaner. Truly, I wouldn't want it 3D anyway; I'd prefer higher resolution pixel art, like the PSP remakes of Final Fantasy 1, 2 and 4. It just looks crisper and more faithful to the source material that way to me, haha. I'd also like to see the games combined into one package; password transfers could just be achieved by talking to the right person, and then switching regions with some sort of hub temple or something.

I think it is 99.99% likely that they will remake the oracle games, given that Nintendo doesn't like to waste the opportunity of using their new graphical engines, and how the new Link's Awakening remake engine can be used to cheaply and quickly remake the Oracle games. They also made those games available on NSO so it's only a matter of time.

Haven't played the games yet myself, but my idea was they could do the Link's Awakening style remake and add the content from the canceled third oracle game. Either go the route that was planned or rework the third saga entirely with elements that hadn't been introduced to Zelda at the time like the Rito. Put everything on one cartridge and I think it justifies a full-priced game.

My guess is that capcom being the main makers is what makes these games a "black sheep" in nintendo eyes. Like, Link's awakening is their child, so it makes sense to me that it got the remake and that's it, no Oracle remakes in that style. They're protective of their Ips, and while the Oracle games are good games, the LA remake would feel less unique if it's engine and art style also got used in the Oracle games.

Oracle of Seasons is the first Zelda I ever played in my life and it HOOKED me (I was 9 at the time), so it will always have a special place in my heart and there is no word in any human language to express how much I want to see them reworked in the Link's Awakening HD engine and ported on switch. They deserve it, they are criminally underrated and deserve to be rediscovered by a larger audience and recognized as the absolute classic they are

Honestly I'm curious to know what main mechanic they wanted to do with it after Time and Seasons, and if there are some materials resulting of this aborted game besides the passwords linking the other two games... Maybe there's enough to write a good making of video about it, or even better, to get the THREE games in HD Remake !!!! 😁

I feel like the chances are less likely for the Oracle games and Minish Cap to be remade because all of those games were developed by Capcom buy Published by Nintendo. Meanwhile Link's Awakening was developed in-house by Nintendo. I feel like the Oracle games specifically do need a remake the most because although the game-link stuff was a cool concept in the 90's in the modern day it's cumbersome and it also means that it's impossible to experience all the content in a single playthrough.

Nintendo and capcom have a very good relationship and are not direct competitors, as capcom doesn't have it's own console it can try to re release the games on. I'm pretty sure someone is making this and other 2D to 3D treatment and for modern controllers. Just look the Ship of Harkinian (I think this is how is written) for N64 to PC. It's a wonderful opportunity for modding Zelda games to whatever you like.

I have to imagine that the only reason Nintendo hasn't done this yet is that it would hurt their pride. Ya know, returning to the point in time when Capcom outdid any of Nintendo's own 2d LoZ titles. It's gotta sting knowing that a different company beat you at your own game, WITH your own game. That said, if they did get around to doing the correct thing by remaking these, I'd really prefer they didn't do them in the Awakening remaster style. I know a lot of people really liked it, but personally, I hate the cheap plastic toy aesthetic with a passion, and is a part of the reason why I still haven't gotten around to buying it. I'd much prefer if they attempted to mimic the visual style used in the cutscenes and promotional artwork. In the event that they remake the duology (or if we're lucky, revive the third and make it a trilogy), though, I'll be buying it. Price tag or visual style be damned, I'm getting it.

I would absolutely love to see those remade too (ad well as Minish Cap) but I cant see this happy anytime soon (if at all) simply because Nintendo didn't make those games to begin with. All 3 of them were developed by Flagship/Capcom and published by Nintendo. And I can confidently say that I have no idea how this would work legally.

Look the reason why there are no Oracle remakes or potentially an Oracle of Secrets that combines both original plus the cut third is because the Oracle games were outsourced to Capcom and thus partially owned by that company and while I would want them to be made (though not in the same doll/toy aesthetic as the LA remake), I cannot see Capcom agreeing to do it.
