I think this is the first time I see the Nintendo NYC store crowd being silent for a whole trailer. So much respect for a franchise like the legend of zelda.

i don't think it's that. during the mario odyssey trailer earlier in this video, fans were going crazy. but nintendo has shown off zelda botw before, in e3 and even had playable demos there. throughout the entire intro to this clip (also cut off for some reason) people said "zelda... that's zelda" so they were probably already aware of the game, hence the silence.

Mario was a new reveal, and most people there had probably already seen 20 hours of footage from the game and multiple trailers. When that happens you pay attention to the shit hardcore and wait for the new shit and plot/story details no matter what game it is, lol.

They have a passion for deievering fun above all. That is all we gamers want. Having said that. Zelda invokes reactions like no other game ever. Tears laughter and joy.

This was the best trailer in any entertainment history no doubt. Too bad the actual game fell short on so many of the trailer cues; the Silent princess, Divine beasts were played down plotwise (that goron kid character for Vah Radunia was a joke), and Kass was a mere bystander. Then, there were the dongeons,, all ZERO of them. At least we got awesome 3D Lynels -,- I want the Loftwings back next installment

The most annoying sound in all of BotW: The Japanese VA for Zelda at the crying scene. Doesn't even sound like she's grieving, just making a lot of high-pitched noise. Anime is just as bad for that. Literally ruins the immersion. English VA rips your heart out because she actually sounds like she's in complete dismay. Trying to exude the genuine emotion and not follow in some industry trope.

Bro... You're literally wrong. You don't speak the language so you actually don't understand how tragic she actually sounds. The English version sounds like sht compared to most other languages. Especially in that scene. Try reading anyone else opinion who can speak English and Japanese or any other language. Zeldas VA in English sounds like she sad? But not literally in fucking shambles. Which is what is intended. You obviously watch too much anime.
