My biggest fear for Switch 2 is that it will be backwards compatible, but it’ll be an all digital console. So physical collectors would be screwed.

Don't worry about that. The best part of nintendo being old fashioned is it's going to take a while before they make a digital only console. Plus they announced on Twitter that they are keeping cartridges.

Hades did originally release in early access but since it was on there no one reported on it and it didn’t gain a large following until its official release I’m also curious what percentage of people who played the original played it in early access first

With the iphone 15 pro i got a backbone controller and im loving it. Emulators plus all of netflixs game are amazing, hades, sonic mania, into the breach etc this is the best gaming device for me when im on the train to work

The reason I bought EA for Hades is the same reason I bought the EA for Gate Gate 3. I trust the publisher to produce a great game. Also, there is the slight chance the game will cost more on release.

I played the beta test for Pokemon Go before it came out, had a great time for a couple weeks, got bored, and then stopped playing. By the time the full game came out and became a world wide phenomenon, I was disinterested and missed the initial hype and regretted it later.

The early access makes sense for someone like supergiant. According to Google it’s a 23 person team. That might be wrong. Yes hades was very successful but early access helps with all of the different interactions of boons and weapons and everything. Activision does betas and alphas and for the most part doesn’t change much about the games. Other than building hype, call of duty betas have been pointless the last few years. Supergiant put out a really good 6 part documentary about the hades development with noclip.

I saw a tiktok where it's the guy with the eyeballs on the consoles. He mentioned that many other games require logging in to EA, Ubisoft, Epic, and Riot accounts. I know there was some issues in other countries where you needed to own a Playstation to make an account. I do think there was some hate directed towards playstation by PC gamers that wouldn't be directed towards Xbox because Microsoft is associated with PC gaming so tends to get less harsh of treatment by PC gamers. I've been a PC gamer and currently own a playstation. I remember only having steam and then the very first time I had to download Origin to play EA games it was so annoying to have 2 launchers. Now people have 10 launchers but get mad about making a PSN account. I think it was just a tad bit petty.

Metal Gear Online 2 was the best part of MGS4. Allowed the deep mechanics and gameplay of MGS4 to shine. MGO2 is a 10 out of 10. RIP MGO2, I miss you.

Those mgs4 long loading screens were originally installation loading screens. You installed chuncks of the game at a time. A later patch changed it to all be installed at the same time.

Microsoft makes you sign into a MS account for halo and Minecraft… it wasn’t a problem to make us sign into a PS account (it’s free who cares) it was the account wasn’t an option for 60+ countries and also PS hacks happen way to often and has to much info in it
