Brother, we need more of these. These are simply fantastic! Sad you made so few!

I didn't know about his series at the time, but we have become friends ever since I found his videos. I asked him if he wanted me to change the name, but he's too cool. He said "No worries. Keep using it." I actually was a guest on his Podcast.

Thank you so much! I'd be curious to see more about "The Official Nintendo Magazine". I haven't gone through all your videos yet (maybe you've already talked about them), but it would be cool to hear about your magazine memories.

It's so funny how all of us NES - N64 era gamers share the Nintendo Power nostalgia. I really don't know why there aren't more videos about it.

Classic stuff bro! Thanks for the shoutout to my NEStalgiaholic channel! I can't wait to see more of these episode.

Thank you. It means a lot that you enjoyed it since... well... you were a source of inspiration... I have one more ready to go this Sunday and another in the works. I hope you continue to enjoy them. Thanks again, bro.

Wow. I'm not even nostalgic about these magazines and just from you telling your stories and commentating on it, I want to watch more. You're doing great man.

Thank you. I am definitely continuing my videos. I have next week off so hopefully I'll get a few done.

Sorry if I didn't get back to you sooner. I absolutely love the idea for your show! I currently use Adobe Premiere Elements 10 because it worked on PC and Mac (sort of) and was under $100. If I had a time machine, I would have bought Final Cut instead (I use Mac). It depends on what computer you have and what price you're willing to pay. Maybe your friends will pitch in. Three that I'd recommend are Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere (budget), and Final Cut Pro ($300 but easily the winner).

Thanks. I've been having fun making them. I can't wait to put up episode 1, but I need to space them out a bit with something that doesn't require so much editing.
@NESComplex12 жыл бұрын
Thanks, bro. I hope the series can get better. I just need to find the time to write up the scripts. The filming and editing on these is actually pretty easy.

Thanks for making these videos. While my old systems and games are still in pretty good shape, my Nintendo Power magazines are all long gone. This is an awesome trip down memory lane.

Thank you. I should have it up in a few days ...at the most by next weekend. I couldn't help but hear rinrygamegame when you said "Happy gaming". Cheers

Yes the glory days of the 80's. I would re-read these classics over and over again. In the morning, at school, at home etc. These years you are talking about are probably the best FUN years I remember growing up. Magical times they were. Great fond memories and it's a great blast from the past watching them here. A grand treat indeed. I do remember Kurt Cameron being on there laughing at him too. LOL. Any chance of you doing a video of The Official Guide Book?
@NESComplex12 жыл бұрын
Thanks. That's pretty funny. I went "Inception" on you and planted nostalgia in your mind. lol. I'm actually editing the next episode right now. Hopefully it'll be up in a few days.

I greatly appreciate what you are doing. I just came across your channel today and have already watched all of your videos. The sensation felt great flipping through my old issues of Nintendo Power as you discussed them. It's awesome to be brought back to those times. I hope you continue your videos =)
@NESComplex12 жыл бұрын
Well I hope that I can make them for at least the first 50 to 70 issues... We'll see after that. They take quite a bit of work... if only i had a few weeks of solid free time, i'd make a bunch of NPTM and "Is It Fun?" episodes.

I like them both, but so much has changed. Maps and game tips and whatnot don't matter for magazines anymore. The internets are everywhere. I feel like I've grown with it, though. As a kid i loved the silly quirkiness and as an adult I appreciate the articles and insight into the industry. I guess I like both eras for different reasons. That was a great question by the way.

I know what you mean. I kinda feel bad for the current gen of gamers. Unless we take screenshots of Joystiq or ign we can't really save our memories on a shelf for future reminiscing. Old game magazines really bottle up the nostalgia. For me it's less about the information and more about the snapshot of gaming history. Anyway, good points MiiDylan.

@@NESComplex You should watch "KZbin doesnt want quality content" by The Geek Critique. He talks about the algorithm favoring channels with "quantity over quality", and it reminded me this channel. Maybe you could review a couple of Fortnite games to get more subscribers (lol jk)

I didn't grow up with Nintendo Power, but I looked through all the issues from the first one to 1998. This magazine is nothing more than advertising. The 'reviews' consist of screenshots with captions. That's not what I would call a review. This magazine has nothing to do with any kind of journalism. Oh well...I guess it was made as advertising for kids...so all the glorification this magazine gets stems from nostalgia, I guess.
