I always appreciated the Ken Griffey game because it was the only MLB game for years that actually had the Bromo Seltzer for Oriole Park at Camden Yards. No idea why so many games back then didn't show it.

They might as well have Ken Griffey Jr as a DLC for Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

I have this tape somewhere in storage. I remember buying it at a thrift store like back in 2000 or so. It didn’t come with the tape box just the tape. Even if it was short I loved watching this

Take notes, EA. This is how you advertise sports games.

Kobe Bryant's NBA Courtside the first sports game that didn't drive me nuts trying to figure out the controls. I also like Nintendo's Baseball for Game Boy, but as someone that doesn't really "get" basketball Kobe Bryant's NBA Courtside provided me many hours of entertainment in the mid 2000s when I got my N64. When I dig out my 64 again (and likely after I go on a Game Pak and Controller Pak battery changing spree) I will look into getting the Ken Griffey game.

Unfortunately, Kobe Bryant is in a better place now.

Why couldn't this have been a promo for the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time?

The best sports games on n64 were the THQ wrestling games.. Blitz was fun too

I played most of these games at one point or another, had no idea there was a FIFA game on n64 though. Did anyone ever play that and was it good? Of the ones I played, the Ken Griffey game was by far the best. The SNES had a better basketball game than the N64 (NBA Live 96 on SNES)

I'm not really into sports-based video games except for boxing and racing.

That would come out the next year, 1999. The VHS was in 1998.
