I believe he means owning a whole stash of cartridges that’s gonna be sitting on shelves for a while. Hate to break it to him, but that happens with most games we all bear. For example, I still have Dead Space Remake, Far Cry 6, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, etc. left untouch since I’m suckered in with games I heavily enjoy, even to this day.

My friend was in the 1990 World Championship and got to the finals. He got one of those grey cartridges, and he traded it for a Sega Genesis. I love the NES Remix games. Would like to try this game

Think you miss the benefit. It is what it is, a championship. For me, it is a great way to host a tournament with friend's without having to mess about changing carts or loading savestates, etc and the scores being organised without having to write stuff down on paper n' stuff.

My 7 year old son is really into old school gaming and speed runs and stuff so when I seen this I immediately showed him and we pre-ordered a copy from Best Buy here in Canada 🇨🇦.
