Try to run winlator or rpcs3 emulator since they run on android they will even better on switch

You might be able to play low-spec games like Alien Hominid smoothly without overclocking

Are you able to check if on linux you are able to run Guild Wars 2 through Lutris? Taki Udon showcased World of Warcraft on Switch Lite at above 40fps, but wondering about Guild Wars 2, which should be easier due to Proton 9 and it being on Steam...I will tip

Running Guild Wars 2 on Linux via Lutris on a modded Switch should be possible, but performance and compatibility may vary. Guild Wars 2 isn't natively supported on Steam/Proton yet, but Lutris can run the standalone version using Wine or Proton. However, keep in mind the Switch's hardware limitations and the additional overhead from running Linux.

@ Guild Wars 2 is now on Steam. It works well on Steam Deck too. Yes, hardware limitation may be an issue, but at 720p, the same way it was able to handle World of Warcraft, I would be interested to see someone be able to play GW2 on Switch

That's a great point! Since Guild Wars 2 is on Steam now and works well on Steam Deck, it should theoretically be possible to run it on a modded Switch with Linux using Proton. At 720p, with optimized settings, it might be playable, similar to how WoW performs. Will check it out when I can.

Does one need to overclock the switch when using android to get the same performance as you do when playing vita games?

On Switchroot Android you should turn on the Performance Mode which raises the clock speed to 1.78 GHz.

Only time you have a ban risk is when booted into horizon (switch) OS. Android and L4T are seperate os that dont ping Nintendo
