It doesn’t get much better than Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out. This game was so popular that I could never even buy it as a kid as it was always sold out at Toys R Us. I dropped out after 1 year, and I have no idea what happened to any of those guys. But for that one night, we were all high on life and all giddy because we had moved away from home to school. I’m impressed. U might be the best I ever seen play this and I’m a 48 so played a lot. You only took like 10-11 total hits and knocked down once. Bravo sir

So many memories. That was a game that was even fun for everyone not playing to watch and cheer on whoever was playing. Loved that game!

It was for me as a kid. I used to catch my father playing this at like the worst times before bed.

I remember going to toys R us to purchase this game back in 1988 in Las Vegas along with spy hunter. The games were stored behind the glass like todays method
@toddjones14805 ай бұрын
I never saw a Toys R Us with a glass case. The ones I went to had tickets that you'd take to checkout. The actual games were a walk-in cage near the exit.

The Legend of Zelda and this were my first 2 NES games. I was nervous fighting Tyson until I beat him in the game regularly. It took a while on Zelda to get through level 9. They got my boys into this and they play All Zelda, Metroid, and Final Fantasy games now.

When I was a teen, me and my Uncle teamed up to beat this game! I could beat everyone but Mr. Sandman and Super Macho Man, and my Uncle never beat Tyson. He never learned how to snap back after dodging, so Tyson always knocked him out.

12:49 I was the only one in the house who could time the Bull rush punch. My siblings and friends would throw the controller at me when it was about to happen. And if I missed, I would get so much flack for it!!! Good times😂😂😂

Fun Fact: Did you know Mike Tyson never heard or played the game til 2013 since Nintendo no longer has the license to Mike Tyson when he was defeated by Buster Douglas for the very first time
@johng175811 ай бұрын
How is that? They are in every way the exact same except for Tyson and Dream color. Their trunks are even the same. Every punch and every dance are the same.

I can respect that your one of the few who fought Don Flamenco another way besides cheesing the fight by Alternating Upper and lower punches after dodging his first attack.

Fight Night needs to remake this. A boxer working at an arcade finds an old Punch Out arcade after taking off the dusty cover. Decides to plug it in and give it a play. He gets sucked into the game. And in order to escape, he has to become the world champ and beat Mike Tyson!
