I had the demo for this game as a kid and it used the original Japanese voices which really gave the game its character and identity. Feels odd hearing English voices in the full game.

Bomberman Hero + 64 + 2nd Attack was where it was at for me. As I grew up, I learned more and more about all the other Bomberman games on many other Platforms besides Nintendo 64. This Bomberman for PS1 is completely new for me and glad to say I can finally play it.

I love 2D version on Sega Saturn. It lost some detail as dev the UI into 3D. It is still a great gaming experience though.

Why the bosses went easy on Bomberman. I mean in first battle, they ditched the transport animal and sealed them BEFORE they fight Bomberman. They should be used against Bomberman that would be make boss fight more interesting. Then in second round Bomberman used the transport from their sealed against them which turned out a bit advantage. Oh well

Finding out that there's no sound test in this is tragic, nearly every Bomberman game in this generation had one I spend a decent amount of time in that mode in Saturn Bomberman and the N64 titles

I might be remembering this wrong (because I played this game ages ago), but I remember the final boss robot having a very hard to avoid laser move which drove me crazy when I was little. It would follow you all around the stage and I had no way of avoiding it. Didn't see him use in this fight though. Am I misremembering this?

i played this too, thats a japanese version game... the laser shots multiple times on eyes, i have beaten, but with time bombs , armor and extra life damage...
