Old mobile games are great. I literally grew up on old mobile games since we don’t have constant internet back then since we don’t really need it until the pandemic kicked in. And just like you, I used to be allowed to be on computer for just a few hours. I’ve played a lot like Reckless Racing, Ferrari GT, Tank-o-Box, PvZ, some Angry Birds, Samurai II, and many more. It’s sad that either some of them are ruined by the devs for the sake of money, or can’t even work on a modern phone. I got a few of the mobile games I played 12 years ago working on Android 10.

Even the thumbnail get me crazy nostalgiac! Especially Jetpack Joyride (which, by the way, my phone was able to auto suggest 'joyride' despite me probably never spelling that before???), I used to play it ALL the time! My dad and I would cooperate about warning enough money to unlock everything, which we did eventually, and it was SO satisfying.

Man, Swordigo might be the best mobile game ever for me. It may be even better than some PC games. I played it with a friend and we both loved it so much. I downloaded it again after like 4 years just to feel the epic atmosphere one more time. So glad there's more people, who enjoyed it as much as I did!

This is a video I never expected to see from you! But I myself also played an abundance of mobile games, I played wayy too much Geometry Dash, Jet Pack Joyride, Flappy Bird, & Piano Tiles I was obsessed with getting the highest score and showing off to people in middle school, as those games were the most popular at the time haha.

I've actually played every single game in here except Swordigo, but Shadow fight is just not nostalgic for me, cause... I still play it. Lol. You've actually made me remember a LOT of games I used to play as a child, and now I just wanna play them again, but not Geometry Dash, cause I played it like 6 months ago and almost broke my computer monitor playing it on PC. I remember being totally addicted to Temple Run and JJ, I remember calling Subway Surfers "Subway Surf" cause I just really liked that name. You made me remember a LOT of things from my childhood, thanks for that! I'm definitely subbing now!

You may not be the most famous nor trying to be bc it’s obvious you’re making those videos bc no one does the same content, I appreciate the fact you’re so involved you really seem to be a genuine passionate !! There's this one old mobile game that I've been thinking about for the past few days, I think it might've been from around 2013-2014. The game itself was about this kid who made contraptions in his room, like getting a ball from one side to the basket on the other or something like that. The levels were you making those contraptions, and you cleared them by placing down objects to clear the puzzle, if I remember correctly. The kid was also on the game's icon, I remember him having blue eyes and blonde, puffy hair, and, if I remember it right, wore a green jacket with a red shirt beneath. The only other thing I remember is a level creator and a cutscene where the main character's mum walks into the room and seeing him make these contraptions on the walls of his room. If this sounds familiar to anybody reading this, please let me know. It might've not been a "favourite" game of mine, but I can't seem to find anything about it anywhere. I might edit this comment if I ever find a game with similar gameplay so it's clearer what kind of game I'm talking about.

I was eventually gonna get around to making a video about this on my (Thomas) personal channel, but I’ll comment here: if you’re into classic mobile games than Apple Arcade is an absolutely MUST HAVE. It’s an insane value considering many of the older classics are on there in ad free/ in app purchase free form, so the economies are actually fair. For example, you can finally 100% jet pack joyride or fruit ninja without paying for blades/jet packs. Also, there are TONS of insanely great indie games like shovel knight dig, monument valley, what the golf, altos adventure, etc. Seriously an insane value if you play or have ever played mobile games

Swordigo and Shadow Fight look awesome! I wish I had found those as a kid. I played a lot of these in this video, like jetpack joyride, fruit ninja, angry birds (seasons was probably my favorite in that series), and temple run. Some that I really liked which weren't in your video were Jelly Car, Hoggy, Pocket God, Kick the Buddy, a Pitfall one I don't remember the name of (it was similar to temple run), Tiki Towers, The Incident, Radiant, Toybot, and probably some more I can't remember the name of. I had a really fun time with mobile games, but like yourself, I hardly ever play any now. But back in that middle school - high school time, it was pretty fun.

I will tell you one thing, Geometry Dash Full is worth the $1.99. Having access to not only a few extra official levels but also MILLIONS of levels made by players of the game is worth even over $20, so $2 is a steal. Honestly, I might even pay $2 just for Platinum Adventure (a fan level which I love even more than most of the Official ones).

And even into water and transform into a submarine. I miss the game so much, is there anyone played it and miss it like me.

Although I didn't played Swordigo much but I can understand those feelings because I got those same feelings from Shadow Fight 2. Yes I played a ton of mobile games before like Angry Birds, Cut the Rope (this is also very nostalgic being my very first mobile game), Hill Climb Raciong etc. Shadow Fight 2 was the game that gave me an actual sense of progression and an actual great combat system. I tried other action games on mobile but none of them sticked with me as they all felt button mashy. It was the very first game I actually 100%. Looking back Shadow Fight 2's combat may not hold up against other games of PC and consoles but this was my very first action game that made me like I want some great combat and boss fights from games moving forward. And as for Swordigo, I actually enjoyed its successor Grimvalor more

That first one will always hit hard. To the people who came to the video Because of geometry dash, you guys are amazing, and to the other side of people that see this, Geometry dash has a community better than ever. I would recommend this game 10/10. Also it’s not a kids game, (based opinion) if you want to see some amazing levels, the online level tabs exist. And that is… better than good, (White space, Crazy III, edge of destiny) Also I think making an entire video on geometry dash will be a good video, again, get the full version. It may cost money but is worth it. The spin off versions came out before the update it has. The subzero one has things that aren’t in the full version yet, but based on how robtop (the games creator) is active, update 2.2 is probably coming out halfway or before next year. I’ve had this game for 6 years, going on my 7th and Its still as amazing as ever. Edit: in the current version, the full version has 21 main levels and over 80000000 online levels, I’m not even joking.

Mobile games truly used to be so different. I used to play one called “jelly car” and it was a level based car game with driving similar to “hill climb” but the gimmick was that you could shrink and change the shape of the car. I miss it but it was delisted. They used to be designed as games first, but now it’s nothing but gambling games to try and addict children. It’s a sector that could’ve been so much better than it is, even if there are still a few fun ones. I still love Battle Cats, but it’s monetized pretty egregiously too

One of my favorite mobile games is called Drive Ahead, it was much simpler and better when it first came out. Now it is too complicated and completely different than I remembered. It makes me sad that a game I used to play all the time has changed into a big advertisement.
@sherbertshortkake66492 жыл бұрын
That game aged like cheese. It was honestly one of the best designed games at one point in time, with a really unique and well-done concept, and now it's practically unplayable. Everything has changed, from the gameplay, to the charm, and the ABUNDANCE of microtransactions made me uninstall it within the hour. To be completely honest, the original already had a perfect balance of microtransactions imo. Not too many to be annoying, but they were still tempting at times. Now the game is so overloaded you spend more time watching advertisements than actually playing. And the worst part is that the original was easily one of my favorite games of all time, one I played a lot with my friends and made for one of the best time-killers I'd had the privilege of playing. So not only is the game trash now, they successfully found a way to get rid of one of the best games of all time.
