Mario Odyssey was the very first game for the Nintendo Switch when it launched in 2017. That will always hold a special place in my heart. Same thing for Animal Crossing, because when the Covid pandemic hit in 2020. Nintendo couldn't have planned and released it at a more perfect time! That helped me get through the year a lot.

You're confusing Odyssey with BOTW. Odyssey came out in 27 October 2017 while BOTW was a launch title.

I remember when Pokémon Sword/Shield came out during the Covid 19 Pandemic me and my Aunt and Mom hoped in the car rushed to Best Buy to buying a Copy of Pokémon Sword/Shield before the Covid 19 Pandemic Lockdown started I was lucky to get it after that the locked down took full effect .

My personal favourite is Mario Kart 8 deluxe, it's the game I've been playing the most and it is also the game I could play the longest. But the game I find the best is Mario Odyssey, it was my first game and I felt instantly in love with it.

definitely dragon dogma. for the best, most complex combat system and great character development so many factors come into play. npc companions learn player behavior, improve, can be borrowed from other players, and then come back with gifts and trophies and new knowledge. Class change at any time. A game that went down with the release of Skyrim, but remains one of the best fantasy RPGs to this day. the sequel, Arisen, finally brought a few more Fast Travel Crystals into play.

Definitely became my favorite and my go to console now that I’m an adult with kids 🙌🏻 great being able to take my switch lite to work and play on my breaks or at night when everyone’s asleep. Fire Emblem Three Houses is one of my favorite game on switch. Of course my other favorites games are Pokémon Violet , Animal Crossing, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Zelda Breath Of The Wild, Super Mario Odysse, Super Mario All-Star, Story Of Season Olive Town and Friends Of The Mineral Town, Luigi's mansion 3, Picross and Fire Emblem Warrior the first game and Three Hopes. I didn't finish the demo for the last one. I want to finish it before playing the full game. I also now that Friends Of The Mineral Town is a remake from Harvest Moon Friends Of The Mineral Town and More Friends Of The Mineral Town. I also forget to write Captain Toad as one of my favorite game

I have a dilemma.. first, I’ve been wanting either a ps4 or a Nintendo switch. Though I’ve appreciated Nintendo since the nes console came out, I’m not a kid anymore. Some of the games look fun but they also look designed for little kids. I’m hoping the fun will outweigh them kiddie like elements of most of these games. Or should I just spring for a ps4? I really like the Super Mario 3D All Stars but i'm having issues with the cursor on the Super Mario Galaxy game. Tried a different controller but same thing. The cursor moves by itself without touching the controller and it doesn't respond very well when using the controller to move it. Otherwise great game!

One thing I would add is that unfortunately Minecraft is definitely much better on Xbox. Switch doesn't do a great job of loading landscapes in-game, and if you like to explore, this can be very problematic and frustrating. Otherwise, good list

But let's be honest here spending 49$ dollars for Mario and Pokemon games ain't worth it. On pc or other consoles you will get 10x times better games than those which are available in Nintendo. If I want to purchase just 10 games that's going to cost me around 400 to 500$ minimum and what will I get with that is fuckin Zelda(it's actually good though) some Mario shit and Pokemon or maybe some side scrolling games.

I wouldn’t pay 50$ for pokemon the same way i wouldn’t pay 50$ for cyberpunk 2077, you have to filter through trash games to buy quality games on any console including pc. I own a switch to play switch exclusives that are great like Zelda botw and tears of the kingdom AND links awakening which is such a gem, mario kart 8 which holds up so well and still gets updates, animal crossing, smash bros, splatoon Luigi’s mansion, and I’m not a fan of mario but bowsers fury is great , etc. besides I can also play persona 3,4,5, resident evil , Catherine full body, bayonetta ACE ATTORNEY, like there’s so many great games and classics. besides getting a gaming pc that runs every game is so complicated and they’re wildly expensive.
