Hey, I have an additional question for the Switch controller. Assuming you have a Steam account or play regular PC games, would there be a natural way to input both controllers the same way there or no?

Crazy Luigi Probably because on Steam you can use Playstation 4 Cotrollers and Steam Controllers and im also like 80% sure tou can use Xbox 360 and Xbox ONE Controllers. So Yes, as long as the Joy Cons have Bluetooth in them they should work! Hope I helped!

Well, that was nice of Nintendo to support this. I am sure those people who will inevitably be looking to create a Nintendo Switch Emulator will appreciate the fact they can use the official controllers. :P To be fair, it would still need to work to get full analogue support as well as support for the motion camera, amiibo reader, etc. but they've got a pretty good starting point.

I have a program installed on my laptop called JoyToKey that allows me to map all keyboard controls to any connected controller. That could let you use the analog sticks to their full potential like for the mouse.

You can play mega maker using the joycon sideways. I recommend using the left joycon.

You can also use a program called UCR to remap the button inputs (joycon) into keys on your keyboard. e.g. the "A" button (joycon) becomes "D" on your keyboard. That way you can use both joycons *if your emulator doesn´t support two controllers at once*

If you could use motion controls it would make a good controller for vr.

so if the joysticks read as a d-pad input. set them as wii mote for super smash bros Brawl as The wii mote has the least buttons used, D-pad for the Joystick 1 = A 2 = X, A (wiimote) = taunt button A+D-pad right/left = side taunt A+D-pad down = downtaunt A = uptaunt, then theres Grab and dodge Grab is minus so SL=minus and B is shield so SR, and taunt isn't needed so get those joycon wrist straps, for the other joycon the setup looks the same, so yeah I would NOT use any other setting, setting the joycons as wii motes is a MUST until the proper drivers are put into place

Someone made a driver to allow the use of the gyroscope, and combine the controllers in a small GUI. Just google Joycon Driver, and download it from GitHub. Its pretty easy.

I have an issue where my Joy Con actually connects but the home button's LED turns blue and the lights are not flickering but only the player 1 light is on. When I try to go to controller settings it just doesn't do anything

I'm having the same problem, it connects and pairs fine, but then there's no input regardless of what I do. searching around there's been a lot of mention of a driver called vJoy, that seems legit enough but judging by everyone else comments and the video itself it shouldn't be necessary. edit: it may be surrounding the computer thinking that the controller needs to be physically plugged in

Wow, this is amazing. I love using Nintendo controllers, so having the newest ones be this easy to sync up to my PC just means that we skip the whole waiting process of somebody to develop a program specifically tailored to Nintendo controllers. so like, this might be over-speculating, but because the joy con analog sticks are moreso a directional sort of thing, does that mean that if you were to play a game of smash melee or something, you wouldn't be able to transverse between walking and dashing easily? and if that is the case (which it probably isn't) that'd probably mean smash for the switch is deconfirmed. thinking emoji
