There is a hard to notice at 5:54 when Mario and Luigi are both looking to each other while holding their hands on their side faces. You can see how a green screen in the background is used as the green is barely visible to Mario’s white left glove. I hope that makes sense I guess. Isn't it kind of weird that Nintendo is making references to the 1993 movie and the Super Mario Bros Super Show? Because both of those things weren't that good the show wasn't that bad but the 1993 movie was horrible in the weirdest part is Nintendo didn't even have anything to do with the movie or the show Nintendo was not involved in the movie (obviously) and I assume they also weren't involved in the show either so it makes no sense why the referencing those things.

Who says it's Nintendo making all these references, Easter eggs, and throw backs? I wouldn't be surprised at all if the staff at Illumination were behind a ton of these. It's extremely likely there are huge fans of Mario & Nintendo working there. Either way, these throw backs are getting people talking about what the saw, and videos like these. Genius advertising and hyping up people to see the movie for more.
