Super mario galaxy 1 honestly kinda shaped who I am. Its such a perfect melding of adventure, imagination, and, albeit subtly, grief. The sudden injections of such a sad story of a little girl looking to get back home, and then seeing how the girl over came that loss, is really impactful. At least it was for my 12 (maybe even earlier) year old self. So often in games and media the story is all happy and perfect, or miserable and flawed beyond repair. I think we need more stories about getting over pain, and repairing those seemingly unfixable cracks in your own life and the life of others. Nice cover, and much thanks for bringing back some fond memories!

I was 13 when SMG1 came out in 2007. I'll be 30 in October 2023....God, how I long to relive my younger years. The bittersweet nostalgia of this tune. When times were much easier and simple, politics wasn't an issue, kids still knew how to hang out outside until the lights came on and it was time for dinner... Reminiscing often brings one to tears, friends....
