I had been giving up when I couldn’t win/beat something every time, what ever it was. 3 nights ago I decided to take a seat and force myself to die over and over again without quitting and accepting defeat like I always did. I beat the level after 5 years of getting mad and quitting after the first couple of times. It took me like 35 tries. I know it’s just a game but this had a drastic change on my mentality and now I don’t want to quit and give up on everything when facing challenges. Now I’m gonna to keep going! This was the kick in the pants that I needed.

I love how there’s a music medley while making your way through Darker Side! It starts with Jump Up, Super Star!, then Fossil Falls, Tostarena Ruins, Steam Gardens, Forgotten Isle, Mount Volbono, Bowser’s Castle 1, Bowser’s Castle 1 (8-Bit), Underground Moon Caverns, Honeylune Ridge/Rabbit Ridge, then Fossil Falls (music box)!

Jodie Kessler Yeah I cried when Cappy thanked Mario, since I knew he was very grateful to have become Mario's companion and that the two of them have seen the entire world together (with a few mishaps along the way). I have no idea why Cappy of all characters set me off, Nintendo has never made my cry until now. Also, I'm just gonna say that JEEZUM CROW LONG JOURNEYS END TOOK FOREVER TO BEAT. I spent about three hours trying to beat this (and since I suck I had to go on assist mode). I spent the following ten minutes after beating it cry-singing/dancing to the song at the start before closing the game.

The reason the skeleton outfit is so expensive is because when you are done getting the coins, you'll become a skeleton yourself. And that's kinda how I feel about the invisibility cap, except this time it will have been so long your skeleton doesn't even exist.

This level was an absolute nightmare. I had to go on easy mode to beat it😔 after about 4 hours of nonstop tries, I finally gave in. Btw easy mode gives you frequent checkpoints, if you're getting as tired of the level as I was.

Synq it's called Assist Mode technically. It's in the game options. It just gives you lots of checkpoints and makes it way harder to die.

If you're invisible, you can easily take pictures without Mario in them in Snapshot mode! Also it makes the game a little harder if you continue to play with the hat on.

If your having a hard time just go into assist mode Go into options press the top one and go down to assist mode you have 6 hearts if you stay still you regenerate And if you fall or go into lave you will go into bubble and go back to where you where I used this about 3 days in (not actually about 8 hours all up). It’s just if your having a hard time.

So i'm going to comment this and it may never be seen but i just beat this stage after like a huge amount of tries but on my winning run at the 8 bit part with DK after i beat him i only had 1 HP and you know the pipe you go into to go to the next area. I almost had a heart attack because for some reason for like 3 secs Mario would not go into the pipe and a barrel was coming at me i was like a few pixels off to death and i screamed GET IN THE PIPE! and by some luck he did but everyone in the house heard me :)

That capless P switch tank run was an absolute nightmare. The invisible road poison level was pretty hellish too. All the yoshi ones weren't bad though considering they saved the fruit gathered pre-death.

the difficulty comes from the fact that it's such a long run, reaching so far and then dying and starting right at the beginning with no checkpoints, it took me like ages to beat it but in reality i died like 3 or 4 times, now i can do it blindfolded but the stage earned it's credit, it is a very difficult one.

i had such trouble with staying alive past the third boss lol. it was impossible to do with only three lives. don't know if this helps, but before you go to the bosses, on one of the stones that are shaped like fruits, you can toss cappy onto one and it gives you an extra three lives! that's what helped me beat rabbit ridge.
