I like NIO very very much because they are the only one with battery swapping; they own the very valuable patents. More taxi cab and police stations should use this technology. hi odd can you tell me if your research knows 2413 swap stations counts any stations built by partners? or will they be like just revenue for the maintenance of the station like service work ? I would think all the partners would add massive stations as of now , I wish We knew the details of the partnerships , I heard earlier this week a partner put 38 swap stations on line in 1 day and it did not show up on Nio swap station live map So I think they will be separate , I also heard gen3 can be used on the Onvo brand and it only takes 2 hours of labor ti adapt this is great so wont be massive spending to adopt the 1000 gen3 stations

What I never understood is why the swap robot is losing the screws of the battery from the outside instead of the car losing them from the inside. Like on the outside there is dirt and much more wear than if you would have the cars themselves unscrewing the battery from the inside. I suppose they thought this through but to me, this solution is not making sense. The whole robot and mechanism would be much simpler if the car would so the screwing. The robot could then simply dock to the battery from below, turn on a magnet and pull the battery out. If someone knows I'd be interested to know. Because I heard from many jams already and I think my concept would make more sense preventing those.

I have not heard problems with the outside screws. I don't think the screws are completely removed. They may stay with the battery. It is a guess

They could do the same thing with 1/2 turn heavy tension spring loaded bolts with latch mechanism. Heavy spring load, 1/2 turn either direction on or off the car. Nascar has this for quick removal body panels 👌

Ultimately, any system like this will have corks but I'm certain it'll get sorted through a new patent by William Li. Small stuff now! Green Light Nio!

@@TheOddInvestor There's issues. Not I've heard about yet though. But IMO it is unnecessary wear. I suppose though that they thought about that and that internal screwing also has it's issues. Mr. P once said that the batteries need to be serviced and he himself had an issue once where a robot destroyed a battery and he got stuck for a while at a swap station.

Tesla is behind. They will now enter that phase and require huge amounts of capital. Hence I think Tesla share might suffer. I think 100-120$ by the end of the year. Let's see if they have some trick up their sleeves 😉

NIO has partners build future swap stations. Tesla fires all of their charger employees. 🧐 I predict Tesla will have partnerships building their chargers. As a consumer I want NIO. As a profitable business decision I want Tesla. NIO can satisfy both needs but it’s a long journey.
