Saito challenges you to a duel, he probably expects you to arrive with your katana or some other weapon. Instead, you show up, nearly naked, with no weapon. Not only did you insult Saito as a warrior, but you shit all over him in the most bm way I can imagine. 😂😂

Doing a barehanded build in this was one of the most fun times I ever had with Nioh. Done right and even the hardest enemies aren't bad at all. It's so silly. And bonus if you land the punch gesture.

Great video and the strategy is perfect. His weakness is yokai abilities. This boss is built different to others so it appears like he cheats. Very powerful self buffs around dmg and ki. If you try to purify or burst, he uses cheap moves with hyper armor and 5000-7000 dmg which can one shot. One can overlevel and beat him, but his real consistent weakness is yokai abilities which can burst him without having to come close and deal with those irritating buffs+cheap moves. Especially when he comes close to losing, he panics and starts spamming the cheap moves. It's as if he started the match with some cheating abilities in his pocket but was overconfident and never used them. At the end he gets panicky and tries desperately to win lol.. this boss is my favorite I keep playing him for hours. The funny part is also that he was added so late and supposed to be kind of late game but was added to a point earlier in the game due to the stupid storyline in which his giant yokai form of rotating demon statue automaton is actually measly and weak compared with hihahs squishy looking cloth armored human form. Most new players who don't know this, feel it is completely ridiculous to face his early, and rightfully so haha

The best counter that you can use against him is lighting, and applying confusion on him will make him vulnerable for quite a bit. Yokai skill are also great to use, but you have to keep him under pressure in order to beat him or else he will keep recovering his ki and counter attack. Once you start pressuring him, he starts getting predictable and starts avoiding you.

Not that I know of. I do know that there are barehand stat damage on gloves (along with barehand dmg up from samurai skill tree).

This is so stupid that unarmed exists at the same time fists do and you can't do the same moves. Then they give us a whole bunch of talismans to make a worthless fighting style stronger but in a game to very much recognizes ninja and ninjuts, there's no (outside of yokai shift) ninjato/tanto/dagger/wakizashi/etc..
