A trick i've seen a speedrunner do for getting through a level faster is to draw a sword, go into low stance and keep dashing. Uses up ki but with anlight equip load you can get through very quickly.

That's a pretty effective method. I did that for a lot of the levels on Nioh.

I like to pick up everything. There could always be a hair lock on that body over there. So I end up spending 45 minutes to an hour fully exploring the level making sure I got everything. On subsequent runs I’ll speed run them, but that first run I always pick up everything

Divine Prayer Beads can have the Stealth Against Yokai AA ability which is very useful with the camouflage Ninjitsu. You can literally walk through undetected.

Great video bro! I really appreciate your deep knowledge about gameplay mechanics. Some questions pls. Do you check if soul cores do more dmg if you level them up, besides their passive effects boost? Do you know the crucial difference between brute and phantom s burst counter? I think they are the same. I only used phantom s. Also i didn't understand phantom s Ying Yang ability. During dark realms, does yokai shift last longer or not, because of yokai form boost? One last thing i saw from last trial, in order to forge one armor set with set bonuses, i had to disassemble soul cores instead of armor/weapons for unique materials. Crucial differences are the different counters and how they attack, as for damage yes, higher level cores hit harder.

I record through OBS so it's a non-issue.

All elgato does is send video from the console, I use OBS for everything. You should be able to have OBS push sound from console to your PC speakers

Is Nioh 2 easier to get into than the first? I didn't get much further than 3 hours in the first game because I was so overwhelmed with the weapons and what traits helped what. I really liked the combat, but couldn't keep up because i felt like i was playing a looter shooter by how much loot was dropped by average opponents.

The loot may seem overwhelming, but it got easy for me to figure out. Once you reach the higher difficulties, you will want to know what armor will benefit you the most.

This game kinda goes deeper down the rabbit hole, but I think the main issue with this one so far is that you encounter some mid-high level yokai enemies that will demolish you in seconds and the regular enemies have deathblow moves that have to be perfectly countered or they straight up, literally do a fatality on you. This is nearly UNAVOIDABLE if you are fighting them on a hill, the difference in elevation usually plays into their favor either way. Also Enki is the ape Yoki and it is somehow tank and speed build so it crushes you with the speed of a cheetah, it’s infuriating

Thanks for everyones replies. I might pick this up when it goes on sale and try to figure it out. I'll wait for guides to possibly help my style of gameplay. I love hard difficulties but get overwhelmed when it comes to games with huge inventories and more intense RPG elements (I couldn't get into the Witcher 3 because of this but still have immense respect for the game). I love Bloodborne and Sekiro, they seemed to just click for me. I liked their fast pace combat (unlike Dark Souls more tanky combat).

Can you use a Harikari Sword after the kill to respawn at the last save point?

Using that sword will just kill you and deplete Amrita. Use the sacred branch or travel amulet

I was up to the third region when I recorded this. Soul cores are a new mechanic, think of them like powerups with special abilities and they can be ranked up to be stronger. Amrita is still your main leveling currency

The level of the core and attack/defense affect stats. A lv 50 cores ability will hit harder than a lv 10 cores. Fusing them will increase your stat bonuses, think of it like familiarity for soul cores

C H so I changed to the monkey one, and put some points into tenacity and he’s been a lot stronger. More you use it, more points you’ll get , stronger you’ll get, longer you’ll be is what I found out last few hours.

I just visit ppl cuz normally they only call for visitors before they enter boss room lol, benefiting off their hard work without having been there for 80% of the mission hahaha
