It's hands down the best character action game released in 2017, but that's not saying much since there seems to be fewer entries in the genre each year and even then Nioh is a bit of a hybrid. Forgive my fading memory, but did we play NGS2 together back in the day? How did you know I was a NG vet, out of curiousity?

Well I did say I THOUGHT I knew the best personally but if we're going to be pedantic, then no, I clearly don't know ALL of them. The gentleman you showcased is extremely impressive and some reason I feel like I've seen his work before. I used to co-op Nioh almost exclusively with Kagerasimaru (kzbin.infovideos) and he and XLHGladiator are some of the best I've seen in the business. I'm glad that now that Nioh's hype has started to calm down we are seeing more and more dedicated folks from the hardcore community really pushing and exploring the depths of the combat system, showing the majority of non-believers that Nioh is a fair and conquerable game without reliance on broken builds. Videos like these are what I've been hoping to see for a long time now because watching and learning from each other this is how the community gets stronger and plays better :) For a long time, I didn't think we would start to get to this place with Nioh.

Joseph Carvajal I don't think it matters and he clearly leveled up so much that even jin who I heard was a very difficult boss to begin with no longer stands a chance and if these two were real jin hayabusa would win sure William would give him a fight but hayabusa is a ninja he jumps around he teleports he uses powerful ninjutsu and what not of course that is just me. I wish he helped William during nioh it would be awesome.

That’s bow trick for quick sheathing is pretty neat, I would’ve never imagined to do something so creative. There’s more efficient ways to go about dominating Jin with the dual blades, like doing three consecutive charged draw slashes from Jin’s grapple state for example, although it wouldn’t look nearly as cool. The work you put in with the tonfas is amazing though. That’s a weapon I never really got the hang of but you made it look super simple, same with the regular katana really. You really make a good display of all the potential for cool, fast combat that this game has and I can’t wait to see what will be added in the sequel. Hopefully some move variations for the bread and butter combos and maybe even a dedicated jump button with some of Ryu and Jin’s air moves for those who can farm the scrolls and have the ninjutsu requirement for them. Not even combos, just a flying swallow and helmsplitter would be cool. Probably not, but hey, a boy can dream.

How do you get the sign of the cross thing to work? Half the time when I use it, my character will just sheathe or unsheathe his weapon. I hold it and everything.

I noticed when you're trying to power up your weapon with R1+ circle, you have to sheath the weapon quickly first and then hold the second time. That's why I usually do it before boss fights, but not during, because the animation takes too long.

With mid stance only, you have to block right before you get hit by a normal attack (human non-living weapon and small skeleton mostly). You should be able to notice that, when you block in mid stance, you will tweak your block/guard stance a little. You cannot do this against skill attack like iai Quickdraw so you have to experience which attack you can parry and which attack you can't.

This is probably way of the samurai...or strong, In way of the nioh you CAN'T fuck around like that with jin, he's not the punching bag you see here: He becomes a just frame killer (10k damage with 1 hit in medium/heavy armor) guarding his combos is out of the question, or else he steamrolls over you and izuna drops your ass. The best way i found is to reflect his kunai/fire shuriken (2k damage EACH btw) and if you're lucky enough he will jump at the right time to be hit by one of them and fall on the ground.
