A story for you Lester: I work in a medical facility and as I was walking through the waiting room I heard "Sheesh ". I stopped dead in my tracks, looked around and thought 'I've been watching too many Lester videos'. But I then heard it again. I listened a little longer and I heard your voice talking about Janky Jan and Carl - a video from this week. I looked around and a patient of ours was watching your video. I walked up to her and asked 'Are you a Lester fan too?' She said absolutely. It was pretty great. You and Jami are the best of the best.

Hey Lester, I work in the masonry restoration business here in Ohio. Ask your guy that is going to cap those columns if he can install weeps in the head joints at ground level. Moisture will still find its way in if mortar loses bond with the stone. Don’t use mortar around the wood! That needs to be sealed with a good urethane or silicone caulking. The wood will move & break the bond of mortar is used. Caulking will move with the wood.

The extra panels for the safety of the goats is charming. Those "imperfections" add to the beauty of anything, in my opinion. I know, however, that your concept of beauty is different from mine. You like things to be symmetrical and perfect. As an artist, I have had to give up on perfection. I've learned (in my old age), that perfection makes things look stiff and unreal. I'm learning to love beauty that involves a large taste of humanity. I don't know if that makes any sense. 😝

My grandfather was a stonemason he trained in England Ireland and Scotland from the time he was 12 years old when he immigrated to Canada he was one of the few literal experts stonemasons in the country and while he did a lot of travelling around the country in the early 1900s fixing things and doing things he still had time to build the entrance to his farm way up north. I remember being on a ladder beside him as he explained why a person should always cap a column. Actually he told me exactly almost to the word the same things you just said. Its so sad and I just really don't know how businesses can live with themselves!!! Sadly, even though the design of your entrance is outstanding, from the beginning stages, it seemed to me that the workmanship was not going to be up to par. The gardening is manly and pretty at the same time. I truly am irritated that the expensive stone columns weren't finished properly. I hate that you didn't get what you paid for, which was supposed to be quality workmanship. It's going to be fixed, at extra expense though. It's good that you recognized that it needed to be fixed so that it will last almost forever. Longer than the current setup anyway. The cattle panels to keep the goats safe is important. It still blends in with the other fencing. People will recognize it for it's intended purpose if they even notice it. Babies safety first. Thanks for the video! Kudos to those who have done great jobs at both properties! ♥️❤️💗💓💘💖💝💞💕💌❣️

And then seeing all your “crappy work” reminds me of this terrible man that charge us so much money and he did horrible work. He messed up our deck, shed, patio, raised beds, and fence. Over time, the true crappiness of his work continues to be a source of sadness when we go outside to our deck. I hope one day we can fix it. Yes, we had a similar thing happen to us. We had a hail storm that did damage to our house siding, so we hired a reputable business to put on new siding. Well, when the guys came to replace our siding, we were not satisfied with the finished job. It had waves at the top of the siding that showed up from the street and a few other problems. We called the business and they said sorry, but they didn’t do the job. Because of all the damage around town, they had to hire the job out. The guys that did it must not have known what they were doing. Anyways, still not fixed and maybe years later, we might be able to get new siding. Will not go with that reputable business we went with before. And they were suppose to be a good siding company. It’s hard getting people to do good jobs. If only they knew, it’s better to do a really great job, so you can get more business by word of mouth advertising. Cheaper advertising if they’d only do the great job in the first place. We owned our own business for 25 years, a dry cleaning business. The business was run into the ground by poor management, poor clothes cleaning and too many coupons. When we bought the business we honored the coupons for a while and then did away with them. We then did specials once in a while. We were very particular about doing a great job on the cleaning, pressing and customer service. Word got around and we built that business back up. So it just gos to show you, that hard work and dedication to what you are doing for your customers pays off. They needed to come back and do it the way you wanted it done, even if you had to show them the right way to do it. It’s looking great and I’m sure who ever you get will fix the problem before it gets ruined. Love your channel. I haven’t been watching long, but it’s fun seeing all the animals. I’ve always loved long horned cattle. Their neat.
