Dr i have a tender nipple and my both breast are swollen i think it is gynacomastia and it is a bit painful and when a squeeze the nipple a could see a clear discharge i used to take gym supplements couple on month back i am 19 years old what your opinion

Hello Dr. T. Thank you so much for making this video. I would really appreciate it if you give me your two cents on what is going on with me ... I AM DESPERATE: In November 2019, I got a cyst drained from one of my nipples via surgery (incision) after suffering from redness, pain, and pus-like discharge for over a year (also antibiotics didnt help). Unfortunately, the discharge is still happening (but minus the redness and irritation) when my hormones fluctuate (during ovulation and menstruation) and is now pushing up against where my incision is and opening the wound ... I am applying Mebo ointment to strengthen my skin barrier but everytime my skin heals the discharge sneaks up again and opens the wound (each time the opening gets smaller). if the discharge doesnt open the wound, i feel it gathering under my skin and it releases via nipple without me squeezing (its irritating). My doctor told me to continue to apply the Mebo ointment and to not stimulate or squeeze my breast to relieve myself from the discomfort because squeezing makes the breast produce more discharge. also that i need up to a year to fully heal and discharge is normal and i should live with this. I was wondering: is my surgeon/doctor right? or did the surgery fail? what do you think I should do? also i have to note that my hormones are all good including the milk hormone, i was tested negative for breast cancer, and i am not on birth control. My doctor thinks its breast fluid even though it looks like pus to me (white and sometimes with a hint of green and once its all out blood comes out).

I would definitely recommend a second opinion. It's tough to say exactly what's happening but this is abnormal, especially almost a year after surgery.

Hello Doctor. My husband one day in the evening said his on of his nipple was hurting. After few hours it started bleeding. He said he squeezed it and it started bleeding. After 2 days again when he squeezed it started bleeding with few drops of blood. Is there anything to worry about?

Hello Dr T! I’m a male, and since I can remember my nipples have discharged some sort of liquid. There haven’t been any times where they don’t discharge (unless I just squeezed them) I have also noticed they that I have no sensitivity or lump under them. Infact when I press on them they feel less sturdy than my skin. Hopefully you might some answers. Thanks!

It can be normal for breasts to produce a little fluid when squeezed, especially during puberty. (Marijuana use can also cause nipple discharge.) However, if you have discharge without squeezing it's worth discussing with a doctor.

Super duper unlikely, especially if it's been over a year. Mammary tissue (found in all breasts) can always produce a little fluid if pressed, so that could totally be it. Marijuana use can also cause extra fluid to come out...FYI. But I wouldn't be worried.

Hello, I'm 16 and my breast has been hurting today. I've had that a few times over the years. I squeezed my nipple to see if it'd hurt a lot (since there s a big sensitive thing in my breast today) and a liquid came out of it. Should I be worried? I'm a bit worried and I hope you can help :)

@@Incelliotn well I thought I had cancer but I don’t thankfully. I had went to a hospital and xrayed my whole chest. But I was good. It stopped happening though i don’t know cause I stopped paying attention to it. Not sure if it was because I would pluck my hairs from there. There was also a time in middle school where I would have fights with my friends in middle school giving eachother purple nurples for fun 😅. So I also sometimes think that was the problem. If nothing like this relates to u just get checked up, rather safe than sorry. I hope it’s nothing to worry about yourself. I am male btw. Breast cancer shouldn’t be a thing for guys. There was that thought that maybe I was diff and the first to get it lol.

Yellow and itchy could be an infection, like a yeast or bacteria infection. If you exercise/sweat a lot that could be the case. (Also, marijuana can cause extra fluid to come out.) It might be worth showing a doctor so that you can get treatment if needed.

@@Christian-hs2pq bro thank you, I’ve been trying to look for people who has/had the same symptoms as me. They gave me this cream called Lanacane. It’s doing pretty good, it’s not irritating no more and is slowly going down with scabbing. Thanks again man
