I'd love to see more EDC content. As someone who doesn't have any plans to do a show, I'm mostly interested in how to bring magic to more people in my life. My EDC is highly extensive but ultra compact. It includes billets for mentalism, coins and gimmicks, etc. I don't do anything with cards. Great video

That's a lot of effects in EDC! My EDC only have 4 tricks in comparison.

Nice, thanks for sharing your EDC with us, Nique. Enjoyed seeing what you carry. That wallet you showed though, it sure looks a lot like the elusive TAN wallet, rumored to be the best peek wallet ever created...

Very useful and I can relate to a lot of things you mention (have been there as well). Performing in a formal setting is very different from casual "magic interaction" I personally change a lot and have prepared different wallets, depending where I go I just grab one - the pendulum is a great EDC and can even be "built" on the fly - I guess the best EDC one can have is your brains, some methods and opennes to the arising situation. Thanjs for sharing, take care.

Hi Nique, I just discover your channel a few days ago and I want to tell you that is really good, interesting videos, good reviews and very fun to watch. I'm a full time magician and mentalist from Spain and for EDC my choice it's just a pack of plain blank cards and a marker, is enough for me though frequently I also have a deck of cards on me, just in case. Thanks for the video and well done!!!!

Some movement exercises, if there’s time then the routine I mentioned with the stack of blank billets and it can also form part of the ESP matchup routine.

Awesome video as always. It proves real mentalists does not need to carry peek wallets for their EDC's :) Which version of ACAAN do you use if you're willing to share as there are countless versions out there. Very informative keep these videos coming. Well done !!

I mainly perform Asi Wind’s, though at times there is a version I do of my own creation. If you do a search, there’re some videos of me doing ACAAN on KZbin. 👍🏻

Great stuff, Nique - thank you for sharing this! Quick question: when asked(?) to perform something, do you choose based on the "situation", or do you mold the situation to suit the effect you have chosen to do? ;-)
@niquetan2 жыл бұрын
Hmm! I tend to perform the effects I enjoy, which would be those I’ve prepped for anyways. However, I do suppose I will kind of tweak the presentations to better suit the people I’m performing for, so while the effects stay the same, the delivery can be considerably different (more pseudo psychology vs metaphysical for example). So to answer your question, I’d say I choose the presentation based on the situation.

Great episode Nique. How do you, as a mentalist, explain performing Extreme Burn? I'm not implying anything just asking brother. I do both magic and mentalism.
@niquetan2 жыл бұрын
Hey man! Actually, I don’t haha! I only performing it socially now and so it’s all in the moment of fun. If there really was a need to give it context, there is a presentation I use about previously performing magic full-time and there are a few tricks I’ve kept from those days etc. 🤗

Now I feel sad and wrong cause I never carry any stuff with me. DFB and hydra are on my phone and once in a while I perform hydra as it at least has the benefit to collect some followers. But I really hate the feeling of being a mentalist when I am in private mode. But in the last time I am not so much fun talking to anyways I am afraid. I am a disillusioned pro with a drinking problem. 🤷♂️

I learned it from a book he put out YEARS ago, maybe 15 years ago? I was stunned to hear Nique performs it! It was one of my favorites back in the day. I didn’t do MEM work back then, so I cheated and had a cheat sheet on the card box. Great multi phase routine. I miss doing it.
@niquetan2 жыл бұрын
It’s been a favourite of mine for MANY years; I love it that it allows me to focus on the acting aspect, which I really enjoy. There’re some extra phases I have added to it if there’s time but for the most part it’s great as it is.
