I've been watching Hololive's streams for about 1.5 years now without knowing any Japanese and I can totally confirm that love transcends the language barrier. It may definitely sometimes be easier and more enjoyable when you can understand everything, but when you really love something none of that matters. To this day I still watch JP streams with my broken Japanglish even if HoloEN has stolen a good chunk of my heart, because that's what love is, to simply enjoy the company of others regardless of barriers. I'm really really glad that Hololive has become an universal sensation, and I hope to see more beautiful stories of love smashing boundaries like Moona's and Pekora's friendship in the future. For sure!! ive been watching for probably almost a year now, and even though my japanese is incredibly basic and I don’t understand much, i can still enjoy their streams. one of my favourite streams was fubuki playing a short hike, it was so calming and i had such a good time even though i only understood a few words. ive grown up with one language, and i only really consumed english media. hololive has really opened my eyes. its comforting, knowing there are all these people going through life like anyone else, completely separate, yet brought together because we are all human.

What Pekomoon is is a precursor to Hololive EN. It showed that someone outside of JP can be friends with JP despite the language barrier. In a way, it was different than Coco. Coco, even broken Japanese, had a basic understanding of Japanese. Meanwhile Moona had to start more or less from scratch. While Coco embraced it, Moona felt insecure about it. They both walked different paths to become a bridge to HoloJP, but I'm glad they did it. Moona always feels insecure about things but you'll never see a bigger smile on Moona's face when she's with Pekora. I hope they do more collabs in the future!

I can totally relate with Moona here. I always have my own problem with people because of the language barrier. I want to communicate with them, but I don't know about their native tongue. Still, I want to be with those kind of people. My only option I have is to have my own interpreter present to start up a conversation with those people
