I was a poor kid in America listening to this because of eureka seven(anime). I recorded this on my flip phone in order to bring a second of happiness to my life. 18 years later this song brings tears to my eyes because of the happiness I felt hearing this song. For those interested I learned of this song from an anime named eureka seven. A show that had an equally beneficial impact on my development.

I love Eureka Seven so much and I also had a shit childhood😂
I know of Nirgilis and this song because of Eureka 7. It’s getting closer and closer to (20 years ago) everyday, which is hard to believe. I love this song so much and after so many years, this is my first time seeing this music video, my first time seeing a Nirgilis music video, and my first time seeing Nirgilis as a band in a video. That’s quite a few cherries getting popped while listening to a song called Sakura. Coincidence? Not likely 😂

For any Japanese listeners who are interested, the backing choral loop is from the traditional English song 'Amazing Grace'; "Amazing grace, How sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me". Its a very powerful song, and this use of it is excellent.
First I heard this band's ending song for Deadman Wonderland in August 2020 and having watched Birdy the Mighty Decode, i quickly realized it was the same singer who made this beautiful song!!! The breaks and slight autotune in her singing is very recognizable and banger!!!
Remember the days when you had to go to the deepest part of youtube just to find the full version of any anime song? And now it just shows up??? Where was this when I was 9 lol
