To get to grow up listening to nirvana and watch " Grunge" develop was pretty cool.. Im almost 40 so I wasnt old old, but I was always really into music.. First album I ever got was GnR appetite.. Got it in 88... Yeah, I was way too young prob, but that album was important to me.. Music is so fuckin powerful

The reason being, the version on Incesticide was recorded live in Maida Vale. The version here is actually from the smells like teen spirit single. I think the other version was Mark Goodyear or a John Peel session.

If you listened to Incesticide like 90%+ of us fans, you would be familiar with many of the b-sides and rare songs. Also, all the Nevermind/In Utero singles had really good B-sides. I grew up bootlegging my best friend's older brother's CD's. I dubbed them to cassette tape and sat around for hours retuning my guitar to match the warbling cheapo cassette and learned tons of riffs/songs via this method. I was listening to all these songs (all the rarities included) through 7th-8th grade until I had mastered them all. I was known as the Nirvana/Smashing Pumpkins kid in a Georgia school system where Three 6 Mafia and Ludacris were the popular artists of the day. Ironic how most rappers today claim Nirvana as a huge influence.

Said like a casual Nirvana fan. It's not as good without the first part; I bet you also think I Hate Myself and Want to Die is better without the minute of reverb and death at the beginning. That part is supposed make you feel like you hate yourself and want to die in order to condition your nerves to what's coming! It's called art, dood, it's like ripping the background out of the Mona lisa because some might feel it's not important, yet it's the details of a piece that are so very important to completing it. Yet another analogy would be to wipe out spiders or flies from nature because you don't like how they look in the ecosystem. These are necessary evils to make the whole system work as it was originally intended to. (and go ahead and laugh at me and tell me to chill, but you know I'm right. Don't be so low and bitter that you didn't realize this first and had to be told so that you retaliate in a childish tantrum, camouflaged by chill intellect and sublimity) Art is 100% or not art. Fuck the music industry for candy coating Nevermind and beyond with their shitty poppy, mainstream cookie cutter garbage.
