They are able to remember the good times and acknowledge the whole picture, even if there is a lot of pain in this too. This is a normal process. You can not only think about the bad and the pain. Both have lived more years without Kurt than with him now. A lot of experience, good and bad down the road. It might sound harsh, but life for them did not stop the day Kurt died. @cobussy Жыл бұрын
@@johnmchugh8049 well it’s pretty much like i said, underground bands loved albini’s raw producing style but post nirvana he jacked up his prices then started acting like there was a plot against him. i believe it’s the doc about failure golden in which they said they had paid a relatively fair price to record with him and enjoyed the product, but they didn’t return because after a certain “popular” band recorded with him his rates skyrocketed. seeing as nirvana paid him $2M it wouldn’t be surprising if his rates afterwards were far out of the reach of a majority of bands that wanted to work with him. i’m not hugely researched on the topic however, but i’d likely to guess the truth lies somewhere in the middle. maybe more bands wanted to do a non label involved albini production (nirvana paid out of pocket in order to have no label interference with the record) but his prices were too high and execs didn’t want their bands having full creative control, hence he’d start to lose out on business. that’d make most sense to me at least and would account for both sides of the argument.

"He was not into manipulating moments, he was into capturing them." Difference between Butch Vig and Steve Albini right there. I love both but In Utero is just an untamed BEAST of an album. I'll never forgive Vig for making them record Lithium to a click track to keep it on time when the song naturally wants to speed up as it progresses :/

John Arundell You’ll never forgive Butch for making Dave record it to a click? Dude, what are you talking about? That’s his job as a producer. He clearly made the right decision as the song sounds great.

Listen to the Jon Savage interview with Kurt Cobain, he says he thinks that Steve Albini sucks as a mixer lol

Best Nirvana album. Only the people that don't really understand music hate it.

I bought it the day it came out. Never mind also. I liked bleach and incesticide the best.

"Two surviving members"... It's not like they all were in plane crash and only Kurt died.
