‘The back up guitarist’ is Pat Smear a part of Nirvana already playing in multiple live performances and already an established name in the underground scene before joining Nirvana. I ended up going into the Air Force and he moved off. All of my friends would bust on me bc even into my 30's, I HAD to have my Etnies & DC's, to match my scubs. When my daughter was little, she wore them too. Only 5 year old I ever saw wearing a pair of DCs. 🤣 Nothing will ever beat an old school Nintendo, and MTV...when they actually played music.

@49bars don't take anything to seriously these days, and don't think too hard about things that will be important later on in life there is a time and a place for everything but make the more mature decisions if you're capable of it, An if you take advantage of the fact you can already see and accept that the world's a lot darker of a place than what it's painted out to be maybe it won't hit you all at once and leave you with all these questions if you just prepare yourself for the truth. And I don't really know how to help you specifically cause I don't know what you're going through exactly but everyone has problems if someone said they don't there lying or just too naive or young to see it. Just take things one step at a time you'll be fine bro 👍

Kurt died when I was 5 but I grew up with his music on repeat and now almost 26 years after his death, I still miss him. Like many others, I lost my spirit guide that day. What is truly amazing about this song is the way it coveys such a huge emotional impression and observation of homlessness and bleakness, cold and rain, but also love and morals and values with such a minimal amount of information. Simple lyrics boiled right down to the absolute nub, 2 chords, simple cello and beat and repeated chorus. But it just knocks you over. When it happened in the Batman I had shivers, it was a great moment to drop such a haunting song. Film and music will always be a very powerful force, but this song, this version, stripped back, live, unplugged and laid bare is one of the worlds true musical gems. Life could be better but something is always in the way.

When I first discovered Nirvana through a cover that Lana Del Rey did for Heart-shaped box, their music truly changed me. When I was younger, I went through a lot because of issues with my mental health and being taken away by cps but sitting down, plugging my headphones in and playing this song allowed me to forget about it all and let myself relax. I know this may sound a bit dumb but Nirvana really did help me when nobody else could.
