Heres a tip. Take your phone, Turn the flashlight on your phone and hold it to the side of the bottle. you should be able to see the level of liquid inside then.

Wow LMAO I just checked my own bottle of Perseus, because I thought that it was almost empty, but I've had no idea how the hell I could have gone through that much of it in just a few months. It's still mostly full 😂 I've been trying to come up with ways to figure out how much was left in it by weighing it, or something I've just been trying to figure out a way and it was this easy.

This is one of the problems I have with ebay. They always claim they can't list perfumes as used because of something with ebay and perfumes, whatever. But in my opinion, if the packaging is no longer sealed, it's not new, it's open box and if was sprayed once, it's not new it's used. Also watch out for fakes, pdm fakes are very very hard to tell apart from a genuine one unless you can compare them side by side with a real one. Even if you see one that's selling at near discounter prices and you think there's no way it could be a fake right? Maybe, but I've been burned by a fake being sold at a price that you wouldn't dare to think it was fake, but it was. and I think some shady sellers, even with perfect feedback sell fakes whether they know it's fake or not. Either they don't realize it is a fake or they know and price it to where you wouldn't believe it's a fake. Take angels share for example. The fakes are sold on ebay for under $100, so that's obvious. But look around some more and you'll see fake angels share being sold at 150, 200+. All in all, I still buy mostly on ebay, just use a bit more scrutiny when doing so. Also I look for real vs fake comparison videos on KZbin (fake cip is a good channel) if I have even the slightest doubt.

Thanks for commenting and sharing your experience as I agree with what you say here. Seeing more and more of the fake pdms from China and Malaysia, though Im also seeing more of them sold as sent from the UK. They are sold on ebay using a stock photo of the original pdm rather than showing the actual item they will send. Likewise around still using ebay to buy as Ive had some real bargains which have legit 👍

Just buy from a reputable seller. Surely at your age, you must have heard the saying " if it's too good to be true it probably IS".

But where do you draw the line? You can find fragrances like Haltane or Oud for Greatness, 125 and 90 ml bottles that cost almost $450 full price from the company, for around $300 each on websites like The Perfume Spot and Jomashop. I got a whole travel set of MFK fragrances on sale from Nordstrom, for $220, and it includes eight 11 ml bottles, including BR540 Extrait, Grand Soir, and Oud Satin Mood. I did the math, and I paid way less by volume than if I would've bought the full size bottles. It makes no sense. I looked up the individual bottle prices, added them all up and compared each one to the total, and just multiplied that ratio by the total price I paid for the set, $220. That math showed that I only paid like $45 for the 11 ml bottle of BR540 Extrait. If they sold that alone, then it would probably never be in stock.

@@schneir5 Much of the time I will use reputable discounters. However, it can be difficult to find some or discontinued fragrances. This is where one takes the chance buying them off ebay or other selling sites. I have for the most part great success on ebay and have got some real deals. It sounds like you got a great deal on the MFK set. This is a great way to be able to try out different fragrances without commiting to a full bottle 👍
