If you were always in team Onodera, it must not be a happy ending for you. But I just want to point somethings out. The reasons why this manga is one of my favorite romance mangas are different. This is one of the few mangas in which there wasn't a single character I wasn't in love with. (Honestly, I found Marika a bit annoying initially but later towards the end my view of her changed topsy-turvy, I couldn't help but smile at the level of her persistence though) There was not a single outright villainous personality. The manga was no doubt clichéd at so many stages but still I fell in love with this journey of 229 (or 229.5) chapters. It happened because, the feelings of each character was drawn through so elaborately. Chitoge Kirisaki, this character was interesting, (I don't care whether the Tsundere ends with the main protagonist or not in the rest of the Mangas, since my analysis of Chitoge is based on other parameters). She was violent, rude of course. But emotionally she was not at all expressive, rather she was emotionally aggressive. The kind of overprotective background of violence she belonged to was very different from that of Raku (who sure had possessive people too, "Bocchan...!"). He, in turn, had Shuu all along who nourished his personality like no one, which on the other hand Tsugumi could never do to Chitoge since she would never lay herself on the same high pedestal as that she had for Chitoge, even though Chitoge did love her a lot and at times was uncomfortable by the excessive treatment she received from her people, "Ojou...!". Initially, Raku did to Chitoge what Shuu did to him when they were small. Chitoge was nonetheless caring from the very beginning the way she was maintaining a notebook to make friends. The way she ran immediately to Tsugumi to stop her from leaving when she thought she was useless. But she could never learn to express her emotions to people, by then. She wanted to apologize to Raku in one of the chapters in the beginning but somehow she was not able to because she couldn't bring out the right words, and ended up in her usual agitated escape, violence. She was searching for the pendent secretly after school, not because she wanted to owe nothing to Raku but because she was suffering from an internal guilt, considering the amount of efforts she was putting. She knew that Claude was there during there trip and was thus worried about Raku. She didn't protect him during the bath just for the sake of not being a laughing stock, she could have got him caught by complaining just after she found him there. She knew he was not at fault, it was Claude who caused the trouble; she wanted to save him for his sake. She would not talk straight to her mother in the beginning but the fact that she was hurt when her mother mocked at her ribbon, showed how much she cared. Raku had got bed ridden due to appendicitis, she would spend all the time attending to him when he was unconscious. Remember that scene of her sitting out of the window. Raku was suffering from amnesia, Chitoge was the one who took it the hardest to cure him, she would run over to save him from Claude and hide him in her room, shows that she was concerned about him. The way she was hurt at Raku not remembering her but the promise girl express her intricate emotions. Recall the scene when Raku and Chitoge found a pup (which was liking everyone but Chitoge in beginning) and when its owner was found, the way Chitoge cried on getting saperated. It expresses her innocent tender self. She felt so guilty towards Raku after lying to him about 500 Beehive members spying on them, and apologized to him seeing his sincerity to protect her shows her upright values. The way she got mad when Raku came to rescue her in their mansion going past all hurdles, and when she was agreeing to whatever Claude dictates to not get Raku hurt, depicts what he meant to her. Planning a date to cater to Raku's interests. Getting all worked up after seeing "her beansprout withered" after Marika's departure and working hard on a date to cheer him up, admits to her caring persona. There are so many instants which prove that she could be violent but she was in no way abusive, rather she was a beautiful person at heart. She was anything but selfish, she ran away to New York when she thought she will get in the way of Raku and Kosaki. Certainly, she didn't want to get herself hurt too. As for Kosaki Onodera, she was the gem of a person. I love her so much. Raku and Chitoge were so lucky to have a friend like her. She was the friend who could take a bullet for you. I cried a lot during her confession to Raku and her getting rejected sure was sad. From chapter 225 to 227, I have cried like a baby every moment. My heart even sank when Chitoge realised that she was not the promise girl, and it did the same when Onodera realised that Raku now is in love with Chitoge. I was devastated looking at her expression when Chitoge overheard Raku's feelings for Onodera and I could feel the same choking pain in my heart Raku must have felt when he read "Do you still love me, Raku-kun" in the letter by little Kosaki. Kosaki and Raku had had a crush on each other for so long. No wonder, I was sure about Onodera being truly in love with Raku, the way she cared and noticed every little thing about him. She had a beautiful personality, someone can easily fall for a girl like that; but I was always skeptical about Raku’s feelings for her. All I could see him do in the beginning was how he got head over heels for her ‘cuteness’. The best thing about this (even though clichéd) manga was that it focused more on the building up of a chemistry than stupid exaggerated romantic drama without a base. I believe the first I saw Raku and Kosaki having any mutual chemistry at all was in the Christmas arc (or may be a little when they worked together in Kosaki's aunt's hotel). It sure was very strong, giving up on a promise treasured for 10 years for one's present feelings. But come to talk of chemistry, try to recall whenever Raku ran for Chitoge's sake; it was always so spontaneous, something without any second thought. The day he held her hand for the first time and dragged her to the park away from those goons. The day he left Onodera's hand and ran into the forest to rescue Chitoge. The day he called out first to search for her ribbon, and bought her a new one just to see her smile. The way he rubbed his butt off to reunite Chitoge and her mother, even ending up cycling to the airport. The way he hid the fact that the chocolates Chitoge made were salty. The way he grabbed Chitoge down to the floor to protect her getting hurt, thinking they were being shot; oblivious of Chitoge’s prank. The way he recognized Chitoge in an instant even though she was dressed in that foreign princess’s attire. There was something about only these two, which they shared and understood without each other’s noticing. All he wanted was to be Chitoge’s ally when she was to return to America and after a little smack of sense in the head by Onodera, he ran to Chitoge to lend her his hand… he decided to help her escape just for her sake; his mind still said it could be better for her to go to her mom. He even went on to rescue her from the Beehive mansion, crossed the heavy security even though he was told he could die, he was even ready to face Claude. Chitoge sure meant a lot to him without him quantitatively realizing most of the time. We remember the first year festival when Chitoge being hurt was ignoring him and how uncomfortable it made him feel. He was hurt so much when Chitoge slapped him and tried to show him the limits and said that all they have had was fake. He even turned Onodera down and asked her to leave him alone. The unexplainable faith he had that he could pull the show off (the play) with Chitoge when Onodera got injured speaks a lot. But unlike the Christmas arc, try to recall the chapters 198 and 199, the way he laughed so sincerely with Chitoge after that fight warmed my heart. I could not imagine him laughing like this with any other girl in the story. Then forgetting everything that happened in a moment and playing together again like kids. It wasn’t their constant fights and quarrels that I found cute, it was their ability to make up so quickly that won my heart. The way Chitoge could tease him for fun was something I could not expect from Onodera. Chitoge bringing a soda and mentioning Raku’s soda phase which even Shuu had no idea about was so convincing. It was an unsaid understanding these two shared which is far more relevant and long lasting than any claimed promise. Chitoge was domineering and demanding and would force Raku to keep walking ahead and progess while Onodera was submissive and demands nothing, so she could help Raku by supporting him at the backdrop. Chitoge will rather give a spice to Raku's life which was almost non existent therein, thanks to his family. Raku aptly realized that “Unlike being with Onodera, Tachibana or Yui-nee, only when I am with Chitoge would I feel this pleasantness”. I can fully understand why Raku said, “If it's with her, I could enter a world I never imagined”.

from the start it was clear that Chitoget was the better girl in my opnion the way she acts is so genuine and real where as Onodera to me just seems like a fake attitude and she never acts lke her true self. I think Raku's love for Onodera was pure like he says hoewver it was aimed more towards how he was really the only girl at first that saw him differently and he was over taken by that kindness..I beleive he was unware of actual love until he met Chitoge as you can tell.

I felt pretty let down that we didn't actually get to see the kiss itself. We saw the scene and we know they did kiss, I just wish the author would've actually made a close up of it. I have followed Nise Koi since its first chapter and after 5 years of mostly procrastination, the manga is finally over which makes me a bit sad. Same as you, Chitoge and Raku were also my favorite pairing so I was satisfied with the ending. Although, as you stated I would also have liked to see them date for a few chapters and gradually going over to the timeline of their wedding instead of skipping forward. It seems to be a popular trope for shoujo/romance mangas to have a lot of things being mostly procrastinated or interrupted when it could've ended long before but hey, ya gotta keep the chapters going if you want the money. One example of this trope I mentioned would be Kaichou wa Maid-sama which I have also read the entire manga of. Whilst another manga like Karin for example has over 100 chapters and it kept me interested in what was going to happen next without using much procrastination or interruptions so that is definitely a manga that I'd recommend and it also goes to show that a manga can be very good without that much procrastination. Though to be fair, Nise Koi has many girls so there needs to be extra chapters explaining more about them so it is to be expected. These are basically my thoughts on Nise Koi in general, what do you think? I've been practicing my analysis skills as well as explaining things clearly whilst still keeping it informational and giving examples to support my claims. Did I succeed in doing that?

Prince Launchpadder season 3 isn’t coming. The main reason for that is because there isn’t enough funds to create another season. It was to be expected though, season 2 ended around 5 years ago and the company has yet to announce a release date for season 3. Thank you very much for this video! I've just read the manga to the end (229.5 chapter too) and now I'm actually more frustrated and kinda hurt, than happy. The time, when Chitoge went away and 2-3 years went by, when they finally meet again, and marry to each other. What broke my heart even more, that 229.5 th chapter showed Ichijou's (Raku × Chitoge) son and Miyamoto's (Ruri × Makito) daughter. I still can't imagine that my favourite characters who were a few chapters before 15-18 years olds, now 20->40 years olds. Even if all this got visualized, than I require at least a chapter or two about the characters's weddings (at least Raku × Chitoge) and a giantic photo with all the characters and with their kids and parents. This is an anime (manga), that I'll remember for a long time.

I don't think they are, because the anime was really just an advertisement for the manga, and only started because they got so much money off the manga. The second season was basically " HEY WE GOT ALOT OF MONEY. LET'S MAKE A SECOND SEASON!" and just continued the story a bit, but the actual plot didnt move much.

I watched this to see who he would end up with, since they pretty much stated there will be no more seasons beyond the second. I hate the short anime style. I understand that the anime industry has evolved to require it, but I hate it when they dont finish a series. There are tons of series that I loved that will never get another season. It is a lot like when your favorite TV show gets cancelled and you are left wanting more. The difference is, american TV shows are based around continuation. They are left open ended for syndication. That is not the case in Anime. It's unfortunate, but I HAVE to watch this video to find out what happens, since I dont read manga. And, as far as the ending goes, I'm sorry to say that I think that marriage between chitoge and riku will end in divorce. Just because they can relate to each other doesn't make it a good relationship. He wouldve had a much happier, longer lasting relationship with onodera.

To be honest, child-hood friends never win, and probably never will win (I was #TeamOnodera). I've been watching anime for a while now, and most guys SEEM to like the "cute/perfect" girls, then end up with some tsudere chick (aka Toradora! and Niseoki). I liked this anime, but there were definitely flaws. For example, it seemed liked Chitoge and Raku had no other way of getting close to each other, that's why I didn't really like the "fake girlfriend/boyfriend" thing. It really hinted that the rest of the girls are meaning less. I also hate how Raku is really dense, but I guess it's a romcom so it doesn't really matter. I also disliked how he had no choice, as if this was all planned out for Raku and Chitoge to be together. **SPOILER WARNING!!** Like, I felt that the creator just kept cramming these two "lovebirds" into situations, to the point where I guess Raku fell for Chitoge. All I'm saying is that Raku seems like the guy who is laid back and doesn't really care, after all he is dense and only likes things given to him simply. So, I think that's why he didn't choose Onodera (In the manga), so he didn't have to rebuild their relationship over again. He also had previous "dates" with Chitoge and it would be awkward if he all of a sudden just dumped Chitoge for Onoderra. His family would find him suspisious, and accuse them of fake dating, and there would be another war. One thing I don't get is, how come in the black and white flim, in the beginning, how come the girl had brownish/dark hair, yet the promise girl was Chitoge. It makes no sense, unless she dyed her hair, but looking at those flashbacks of her, I doubt she dyed her hair at a young age. If her hair was blond, it would have been a lighter complexion since it is black and white, it would not be dark. To wrap up my essay, I just wanted to do say, I am so over tsudere girls always getting the main character. After her punching and kicking him, he ends up marrying her. That isn't love, that's physical abuse. Not only is it physical, it's mental too...to be honest, she never liked him, and all of sudden they bond and get married? Like, Raku, do you want to be abused for the rest of you life? Do you want to have a marriage where it's constant fighting, and you end up on the floor with bruises? I guess so. Anyways, I think Onodera was better, and this is just a cliche romcom. I wish there was more to it, then "let's make them spend so much time together, that they have to fall in love". I do like how Chitoge is real, and bubbly (when you're on her good side), but I don't like how she is tsudere....so my final verdict is: Who should Raku end up with: None, he doesn't deserve any of them Who should've ended up with Raku (if I had to choose): Onodera Least favorite Character: Chitoge, she's very pushy all right im done bye

I cant agree because just like MANY other so called romance so callled harem animes/mangas there was never even a contest between onodere or chitoge. simple reason being just like the other they gave it away in the begining episodes on who he is going to be with. I cant even call this a harem if all the other girls are just pointless characters adding them in was a waste, while everyone can who and try and guess he wont pick the obvious girls we all know deep down that they other girls never even matter in this series. I cant even understand how or why it lasted as long as it did with it being so obvious.
