Everything in this review is correct. -Clean vetiver (remind me a bit of harsher vetiver in encre Noire -sits close to the skin -beautiful drydown -dont test it from the paper

Got the Safran version and enjoying it as a unique freshie amongst the sea of the standard Neroli, citrus, fruity summer scents. Need to try Colognise again based on your review.

It was a choice between this and Safran Colognise which I received earlier this week. I enjoy it so much that Colognise will be next. I've noticed that the bottles are exactly the same, although thankfully the packaging on my bottle is clearly marked as Safran. l'm left wondering how to tell the bottles apart; perhaps the juice is lighter/ darker. In any case, I'll soon know lol

Is the leather very prominent in Safran Colognise? I like to find good longevity citrus, which is very hard to do, but Safran appears to extend the performance and add a layer of complexity.

@@GeraltBosMang I've only worn it a few times so far but would say that the leather doesn't overpower the citrus. I've watched a few reviews on KZbin and they seem to indicate that the leather note dominates but that hasn't been the case for me. I still get the citrus hours later. It's a very interesting and rather lovely scent. I hope to order the Colognise in time for Summer allowing me to switch between the two. The Safron version is probably better suited to cooler summer days and more appropriate for summer nights.

How similar is it to Xerjoff Nio? if at all

Its been a while since I smelt Nio in all honesty and while they do share some common materials I'm not that sure that they are very similar

Personally I find that there is a pretty good resemblance to Nio going by scent memory. I haven't done a side by side comparison though.
