Hi sir, I have a question regarding independence of irrelevant alternatives. say suppose instead of removing unchosen options from a profile, we are adding a new option in the profile. if candidate A is the election winner, it should still be ranked above candidate B if a third candidate C enters the race as long as C is beaten by both A and B, but not if C beats at least one of them, because in such a case C is not "irrelevant". is this statement true/false?
