Irreplaceable! Counterintuitively enough, with current valuations even a serious accident would be worth repairing. Was actually a much bigger risk when I took it out for this video. And even more for the wet lap which was more sideways than pointed straight ahead..

I love this car so much I’m building myself a vr38 powered Infiniti 400r. Manual swapped and built for 9k rpm. I’m putting a lot of time and money to make the vr38 will handle 9k rpm reliably. Can I ask why you didn’t use the full power band even 0n the straight? Watching you short shift this rbx motor hurt so much lmfaooooo. Take it to 9k and let it sing the way it was intended to

I hear you, but I think taking it out on the worlds most consequence-high track should go some way to confirming that I use my cars as they were intended. But I still do want to manage the frankly irreplaceable Reinik RB-X GT2 engine. More to the point, I just didn’t feel those last revs gave much benefit so it was both friendlier to the engine and better performing to shift down slightly earlier and use the torque available thanks to the turbo. It doesnt have a NA engine with a narrow powerband high in the rev range, so why drive it like one?

Personally I don’t find heavy clutches to be disturbing so maybe I’m the wrong person to weigh in. For me the 400R mechanicals are absolutely up to daily driving, no problem. The low ground clearance would be the only real issue.

Couldn’t say, other than that it was as fast as it would go. Vmax will be in the downhill section after the bridge, right before the compression. That’s where my attention was, as it needs to be taken with respect, especially with a 20yo suspension. Agree it would have been nice to know though!

Its the grand prix track. They drive this version on the 24h race. Usually this part is closed for touristic driving

As per the description the circuit configuration is VLN, so BOTH the grand prix track and the Nordschleife. So just fast forward to around 1:40 if you only want to watch the Nismo 400R on the "real" ring ;)
