I just wanted Japanese and stick shift. This video was so perfect and well put together. So definitely am subscribed. Thx. Almost forgot 😅😂, I'm 38 now. Love my 240sx

I did a Mitsubishi sporty vehicles vid a while back where I discussed it. They were actually the predecessor of the Mitsubishi Starion/ Chrysler Conquest TSI. It was actually a pretty good car with the big 4 cylinder.And thank you. I enjoyed your new one as well!

I loved 1980s 200SXs. I remember getting a gold Hot Wheels 200SX notchback in a Happy Meal in the early 80s.

Hopefully Nissan can bring back the 200/240SX as a competitor to the Toyota 86.

I thought they were awhile back with the idx concept car, but Nissan killed it.

@@autochatter to be fair, the idx concept car didn't look modern enough.

@@anthony_rivera4735 ..It was a modern representation of a Datsun 510, but retro can sell. I was excited for that car and may have bought one. Especially the sportier version!

Great chatter! I always liked the look of the ‘89 240. My uncle had one sitting in his garage. He had sold it for like $2500. Definitely would fetch a lot more these days. Very seldom will a stock 240 be encountered. There is a clean example down the road from me that an older gentleman daily drives. That’s the only one I’ve seen stock. And yeah it’s insane how much they go for nowadays. Aside from the Maxima, the 240sx is my other top Nissan.

Thanks Rob! Yeah I always liked them too, but was into Z cars then (have owned 7).

I paused at like 7 seconds in to like and comment.... hey I had an '83 200SX and it was a kick ass ride! C'mon y'all... let's get this channel to 10K subs

I think the 83 had the 8 spark plugs.

@@autochatter Really??? You know... I'm trying to remember but I'm drawing a blank... I don't recall 2 plugs per cylinder on my car.... 🤷

@haggis525 The Nissan NAPZ 4 bangers then had 8 plugs. I had a 84 Nissan truck with one.

I’ll never understand Nissan’s choice to NOT import the turbo 240 to the US. That chassis was dialed in perfectly and choosing to only export the naturally aspirated model, rather than both, was a crime against 1990’s US Import Culture Humanity.
@autochatterАй бұрын
@MamesJatthew29 I'm not sure if it was a emissions reason,price of the car one, or that it's performance would upstage the 300zx too much. Might be a bit of all that.

Also,.the original 200SXs looked like a weirdo Citroën.
