Nissan 240SX Brake Upgrade - Brake Lines

While I was swapping the master cylinder in my S13 I ran into a leak from one of the hard brake lines. The fitting was stripped so I decided to pull the hard line off and take a look at the problem.
Once I got it off, it looks liked the threads on the fitting were damaged so I decided to cut the old line and install a new fitting.
I found the correct size fittings on Amazon.
Search for "Metric Brake Line Invert Flare Fittings for 3/16" Tube. 10 x 1 mm"
Using a cheap brake flare kit, I managed to double flare the line and install a new fitting.

Brake lines are my least favorite thing to do to cars. I live in the north where brake lines rust apart and they are a gigantic pain to replace.

Rudeboy Yawdie It's a z32 master aka one from a 300zx twin turbo. It's larger capacity than stock so it can handle bigger front and rear calipers. Should be ok for your setup. My rears are oem but I plan to upgrade them to z32 as well, but that's a separate project.

Gotcha. I have the z32 fronts and the same BMC. Will upgrade to the ctsv calipers in the future when these need new Seals. Thinking about the z32 reads and parking brake setup needed. Not sure if it's worth the price and hassle for a daily driver.

Yeah - doing the rears is a lot of work. When I do it, I'll swap in a Nismo LSD as well since my car has a welded diff. I'm doing more of a track build, not a daily. However I wouldn't mind carving some canyons on weekends with it as well.

I have a question where you show the fitting on the screen at 1:19, Inverted flare fitting 3/16 tube, 10 x1mm. Does this metric fitting use the SAE double inverted flare tool? Which is the 45degree one?. I read somewhere there is a Metric double inverted flare that is 37 degrees.

Mostly about the flaring tool coz Irecently bought a doble flare tool kit but no way to have the first flare :( Im sure I doing all same steps like you but I think my flare tool kit is detective and want to see what kit are U using and compare and maybe buy one of this thanks again!

You need both the kit and the cutting tool.

o Lemurs Whatever I used worked fine for me. It was already in the shop. That said a lot of Harbor Freight stuff is definitely junk. I shop there selectively.
