Adore the fact y’all didn’t use any gasket sealer! What a mess and adds to crazy time to the job. Also adds to having to scrap a delicate matting surface, which is Never smart 🤓 💪 Q35/37’s

I agree, now there are times I do use sealant. But I never do on my oil pans

Replaced my original RTV with a Felpro gasket and unfortunately I believe I have a leak, not sure if it’s normal for the gasket near the bolts to be “torn,” but it is in several spots, I can see what appears to be very small amounts of oil seeping from certain parts of the gasket. I torqued with 6 ft lbs I believe. Any ideas on how to fix? Was thinking about putting some RTV along the edge of the gasket but no idea if that would stick.

I too have had this issue. I think it depends on the oil pans and if they are slightly warped. After this install the car is slightly leaking through the gasket. But on my other 350z Its never dripped a drop! I do not think a little RTV would hurt.

Nope zero, I have always just ran the gasket only tighten to spec and ive been able to get 50-80k miles. No need in muddying it up with to much RTV sealant

How is it hold up??
@Thejdmmuscle Жыл бұрын
@@Jose-lk8or Holds up well for a $11 gasket. 50k miles on a drift car Ill take it. Especially since its super easy to take off and put a new one on
