I have a Juke with this code, car still drives but you can feel slippage happening. Don't know if I want to waste my time and money trying to fix it. When the 1778 code pops it basically means a solenoid is gone bad, either on the transmission manifold or deeper in the CVT. Don't know if I can sell it like is either, maybe I'll just run it in to the ground, maybe I'll try to fix the issue and sell it but if doesn't I'll just get out there until the CVT blows up and sell it for scraps
