Great video and absolutely spot on advice. Just carried this out on mine and the difference is immediate. I would recommend starting with the driver's side for extraction - as the bolts are easier to access. The passenger rear, centre bolt is the hardest - a little pressures against the centre console and a socket extender did the trick. Great opportunity to refresh the leather and give the carpets a good clean, too. Also - access to the rear is a lot easier and i gave that a good clean too.

I did this to mine and found it firmed up the side bolsters too much, I used a smaller square of carpet tile to just support the centre section as that’s the area that sags. I now have a comfortable seat with almost no centre sagging. Thanks for the video, really helpful

Looks like you started with four steel springs and ended with three..... is the fourth one still under the blue foam and carpet tile?

Forgot to add; I have been using Renovo Vinyl Soft Top cleaner - inside and out. Excellent for getting the ingrained dirt out the door cards and handles. Sadly, my Pale Aqua, 65k miler is getting prepped for market. Just upgraded the Clarion as well! Proudly owned and let int he rage for 10 years, but limited use means that it is time for someone else to enjoy her company now.

Hi Kevin, thanks for the very informative videos. I hope you can advise me. I need to remove the rigid plastic trim on the outside of the seat (near the recline lever)so I can repair it. I can see the fixing at the front (broken) but how is it held on at the rear? Is it some kind of push-fit? I don't want to risk breaking it and can't see a rear fixing. Best wishes, Nick.

Cheers Derek, I found out - there was a fixing under the chrome-trimmed side panel - some very careful prising was required!
