So if i have crank but no fire do you think it would be the same thing? It fires if i spray a bit of ether in it...i did the ether just to confirm spark. Thanks

If it starts with ether then you are missing fuel. The problem I had was a no crank no start because the starter signal goes through the transmission control module. In your case you need to check fuel pressure then power and ground to your fuel pump. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you for watching.

you have your pinouts from dlc wrong! pin 8 is not the 3rd pin! its the last one bottom row! So you misdiagnosed the vehicle costing the customer 1000s of $$$$$$$$

The DLC was upside down and I replaced transmission and it was fixed when I was done. Thank you for watching

So during the volt test on each 6&14 pin, you were grounding each pin for reading? And using both leads, one in each pin for ohm test? Bear with me!! I have no crank no start on 2008 pathfinder that had intermittent no start no crank. Until, eventually it is now no crank no start permanently. I’ve tested every fuse, relay, battery, etc. my only problem seems to be at this point, is that don’t have a reading at the start wire going to starter from ignition switch. Well and no light coming on at a 10 amp fuse for headlamp. But headlamps work during the IPDM self test. Any advice?

I saw a video on Spanish that some Nissan frontier from specific years over needs to replace the radiator coz that's cost problem to your transmission

Yes the radiator fails, actually the transmission cooler in the radiator fails allowing coolant into the transmission and then the coolant and water mixture rusts out the computer inside the transmission. If you do not replace radiator when you replace transmission the next transmission will fail. thank you for watching.

I have a no start no crank on a 2007 Nissan frontier SE. Transmission started slipping acting like you're on black ice got it home it's set for about a year. Went out there and replaced the battery and a fuse terminal block 80 amp fuse that goes to the TCM. My question is if you have communication and the TCM is bad, will that keep the truck from cranking up and the engine running ??

Without looking at the truck myself I could only say it is possible. without communication with the TCM the starter signal will not be sent. did you try checking the can network with an ohm test like I show in my video?

so your obd connector has s16 pins, pin `6 is power. check that pin for power. if you do not have power there you need to check fuses. you can message me on instagram and I can help you over that way. check that and let me know.

Did you say that the customer drove it to your shop ?? If I understand correctly if you put a new fuse in it and Crank it up it will drive to your shop but once you cut it off it would blow the fuse and that would be a no crank no start or vice versa would that be correct ??

Yes the customer drove it in. Ok so the reason It wont start with the blown fuse is because the signal for the starter will not go to the starter because the vehicle has to be in park, well that goes through the transmission. once the vehicle starts the fuse blows. yes you are correct in your thought process.

@@NutsandBoltswithTone I had to replace the TCM in the transmission because of coolant mixture. Had the unit fired to my VIN number and got it installed. 10 amp fuse is good and now it's throwing U1000 code and I believe that's no communication to the TCM or vice versa. Still nothing. Not sure where to turn now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The transmission cooler in the radiator fails, allowing coolant into the transmission, the water in the coolant corrodes the inside of the transmission which is the transmission module also. That in turns shorts out the fuse. The starter signal goes through the transmission, if trans is in park or neutral the starter signal then passes through and to the starter and then starts vehicle. Why you need to replace the 4k transmission,,,,,when all you need is the TCM and the radiator??

The TCM is in the transmission I believe and that shorts out from the coolant. The proper repair is to replace the transmission.

That is unfortunate. You will need to go to a shop who has scan tool.

Yes because what causes this is the transmission cooler failing and getting coolant into the transmission that has the computer. The manual transmission does not have a cooler. Thank you for watching.

Breaker box? Are you talking about the dlc tester that makes plugging in the meter to check it
