Hi Sir! Great fix you did on your speedometer there. I will try what you did for my truck's speedometer as well. I just want to ask also why did my fuel gauge and engine temp gauge both stopped working? My truck's a 1986 Nissan 720 Kingcab with Z24 2.4L engine, 5-speed standard transmission. I thought maybe fuses but i saw it only has the 2 (black and blue) square relays plus series of small fuses under the hood release notch, which none of it say fuel or engine temp gauge. The blinking - green turn lights/hazard arrows, seatbelt icon, rear defroster icon, high beam icon, and the backlight for the cluster still works. Just really the fuel and engine temp gauge needles dont work. Hopefully you can help me on this. Thank you Sir.

It's probably a connector that is corroded. I would start at the gauge cluster and remove all plug connectors and spray with electrical contact cleaner and reconnect. Work you way from under dash to engine compartment

hey, i had the same issue on the pinion and i bought a new one as you did. it worked but after a few miles the pinion got destroyed the same way as the old one. so far i was not able to figure it out why. if anyone know what it could be let me know.

It's lubrication is from the gear oil. Make sure it's not low

@@MajorWeaknessthanks for the reply. i did not lubricate but even if i lubricate it will go away very fast when rotating, no?

@@MajorWeakness the place were the pinion is placed is to high for the oil to reach there. take a look at the video and you can see what i mean.
