This is an important, but often overlooked, job that makes a real difference.

Thanks Bob. Also, the Corsa D has several broken vents. Video to follow.

Very true. I wish it wasn’t such a faff on my car. It’s easy but tricky at the same time.

Interesting to see this done.

A nice simply DIY, which will help many people. Some cars vents are quite troublesome:) I like that the dash is soooo simple. I’d love to film one, one day :)

Yep. Nice, simple job.

Another good real world demonstration. So lucky to be doing it on that car and not others from other manufacturers, more potential for plastic and other breakages with others cars too..

Thank you, Nta16. The Green Machine's vents are far more fragile. Two have broken and they're harder to replace. Video to follow.

Well I never, who'd 'ave thunk it of the Corsa. And I was thinking also of a more continental car. 😁

Gotcha! 😁. In other news, the Octavia wouldn't start yesterday. Flat battery! I charged it, but the voltage dropped from 12.5V to 11.8V overnight. The battery is five years old.

Yes I was thinking of both those cars for less-than-fantastic breakable plastics. Only 5 years old suggests use/abuse and neglect, I'm surprised at you allowing that. Have the caps off and look inside at the state of the plates and electrolyte levels, then perhaps try a rescue/recovery type battery recharge, forget the 8-amp "smart" charger. Then of course also check the car for parasite drain(s) or something left on by mistake. On a more modern VW letting it get so flat it won't start the car often means the battery is permanently servery wounded or terminal. I have recovered a few "dead" batteries (with old chargers) but the younger the car the less the likelihood and the user, even if old enough to know better, neglects and abuses the battery more.
