Well done.. That is a brilliant video! Absolutely shows everything you need to know to change scv....(on a navara). Thank you!

Thanks! I had done this once before and back then I didn't have a video to rely on, so this time around, I just decided to make the video I needed back then. Figured there might be few other Navara owners out there trying to figure out the same thing too.

Qual foi o motivo pela troca ? Tenho uma 2008 cambio automático,e esta apagando quando engreno marcha D ou R .
@Sceme19915 ай бұрын

Have you looked at neutral switch?
@Sceme19914 ай бұрын
@@philtowle4683 No, but I'll definitely look into it. Thanks for the tip!

Hey mate, great video. Quick question, were you seeing a small amount of fuel leaking at the fuel pump before changing the scv?
@Sceme19913 ай бұрын
No I didn't have any leaks. I changed it due to other issues.Some will obviously leak out while replacing it.

What does the scv do?
@Sceme199112 күн бұрын
Its primary function is to control the amount of fuel entering the high pressure pump, which in turn affects the pressure in the common rail.

this was painful to watch, not looking forward to doing this at all nor am i willing to pay a mechanic to remove 2 bolts. So i'm prepared for the struggle with a 6 pack of beer.

It's not so bad really. I've done it twice. It can be done from above as well but there's a reason I chose to go in via the wheel well the second time. Atleast now I could see what I'm doing. I'd say the most crucial part is making sure the o-ring stays in place while placing the new valve and that you don't pinch it. If not sure, then try again. The rest is just trying to find the right gap to approach the bolts from and trying not to drop them.
