This GU is the ducks nuts. I discovered southern sky images a few years back. And still think his patrol is the best in Australia for the spec it is and the touring fitout. Absolutely epic. What a nice guy too

That factory bar is made by ARB, well mine is on my 2006 TD42 Coil cab ute I bought new with factory bar installed.

Mods like this are awesome but are just in the realm of dreams for me. I would really love to see some mod episodes of old vehicles (20 years plus) with real DIY setups done by people without either a big wallet or masses of technical knowledge.

@@harryp6915 Sounds a lot like our 2004 90 series :) It would actually be nice to see older vehicles that have been done up by their owners. We have put a lot of time and effort in to ours and I'm sure there are some really interesting rigs out there. These rocket ship things are all very nice but how many people can afford to do that? It all starts to feel a bit elitist after a while... You don't get to be on Modified unless you have spent at least $100k.

Front locker, tight rear lsd. Who the hell wants a single pegger diff on the road 🤣. Even these new dual cabs could benefit from a rear lsd and chuck the locker in the front for sticky situations.

Y60 or Y61 better . Don't have these in US.

Y60 is a GQ. Y1 is a GU. The GU is better in every way besides the engine as it normally comes with the crappy 3.0 litre ZD30 known as the grenade. BUT this particular GU he has, came with the factory TD42 still. So this is best of both worlds. The GQ has nice styling but generally only worth getting for the TD42. If you can get it in a GU then why not!

@@paulgriffiths7399 Y61 is a GU. Y62 is called the Armada in the US, although they get a more road focused version than Australia.

@@trimat2016 yes you're right. I meant to write y61! Yes we have the Y62 here in Australia. Been here since 2010. Got a big 5.6L V8 petrol. Beautiful car. The updated version now since 2019 is the best looking. It's the same engine that's used in Australias V8 supercar racers.
