Nissan R32 street GT-Rs rippin 6s at Jamboree | fullBOOST

Over the last 12 months the Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R street title has really heated up with the Maatouk’s Racing KING32 and Croydon Racing Developments JUN II leading the charge. With RB engine technology stepping up, both of these cars are now firmly into the 6-second zone. KING32 recently cranked out a blistering 6.70 at a whopping 215mph. Not to be outdone JUN II peeled off a bullet of a pass of 6.68 at the Jamboree test day. Watching both of these cars trying to harness 2000+hp torque steering down the track is awesome to watch.

Love the footage and hard to believe how far power has progressed in recent times, hats off to the drivers. In the late 90s I was lucky enough to drive a good mates XD sedan on my Ps with a imported and modified ex NASCAR engine putting down 600hp+ on Avgas with a heavily modified 5 speed (I only remember it was a Toyota item). When I stabbed the pedal I thought no car could be faster as it was a monster to drive even with 285s under the rear still not providing much traction. Now we see 2000hp which to me seems beyond insane and something only an astronaut could pilot.

"Street..." That's a good joke. I'd honestly like to see any of these pass a government inspection... Not taking away from the achievement. 6-anything (in anything) is fantastic. But lets call a race car a race car. Anything that takes a trailer to the track, runs a dry block or fails the 'this would get defected in 0.5-seconds test' isn't a street car

I'm with you on this point. "Street" seems to have become a very flexible term these days, and I put it squarely at the feet of a particular show from the Divided States. Having said that, I can remember a bloke from Castlemaine as far back as the '70s getting around in blown cars that were registered despite being very wild, for their day. People back then used to wonder how the hell they got past rego and I think todays monsters are no less suspect as "streeters".
